Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers for this week's meeting of Mad Over Fifties Club.
Igor has resumed his position by the main entrance so he may be available to assist members divest themselves of their coats, cloaks and broomsticks in order that they may be concealed in a variety of hideaways all over the Towers. Whether or not these items will be safely returned to their owners at the end of our evening remains to be seen..............
Igor also sends his apologies as again he has connection problems and he will be "silently" going about his usual duties this evening
Our Tailcock this evening is the "Chelsea Flower" an interesting brew with a somewhat floral bouquet ....
We have an interesting line up of entertainments for our members this evening. In the Library, Professor Johannes Johannsson of Nungate University will be giving a lecture on the History of the Zip Fastener which I am certain will prove an enlightening experience. And in the Ballroom our favourite local band, the Tone Deafs will be playing for members who might wish to throw some shapes (I believe that how dancing is described these days)
All of our facilities are all open to members, the indoor pool has installed a wave machine and is looking forward to members having a go at a bit of surfing, equipment and swimwear is available for members. The bungee is all set for those members brave or stupid enough to attempt to jump over a moat filled with piranhas, and the hot tub is bubbling away nicely on the North Tower and his friend the mini bar has been suitably replenished! As always during the spring and summer months the grounds and gardens of the estate is open to members who might wish a stroll around the maze or a wander down to the beach. At the lakeside we have several rowing boats for members amusement, as well as a race track for motor racing. To my immense disappointment it would seem that the Minstrels have yet again managed to find their way back into the Towers and are setting up in the gallery ready to inflict their usual selection of madrigals and toccattas! One of these days I'll find out how they are getting in!
Our Hot Plate Special tonight is southern Fried Chicken with corn fritters and a selection of salads, and of course it would not be a proper meeting of MOFC without our selection of volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers. On the pudding trolley we have Chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream, we also have bowls of fresh strawberries and raspberries too!

For the rofl tonight I offer:
Bag of odd socks
Packet of Nettle tea bags (one missing .......... never again!)
Selection of cardboard boxes (various sizes)
3 pairs brightly coloured men's y fronts (brand new! have no idea where they came from, still in original packaging!)

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals
