Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers for this week's meeting of Mad Over Fifties Club.
Igor has resumed his position by the main entrance so he may be available to assist members divest themselves of their coats, cloaks and broomsticks in order that they may be concealed in a variety of hideaways all over the Towers. Whether or not these items will be safely returned to their owners at the end of our evening remains to be seen..............
Igor also sends his apologies as again he has connection problems and he will be "silently" going about his usual duties this evening
Our Tailcock this evening is the "Chelsea Flower" an interesting brew with a somewhat floral bouquet ....
We have an interesting line up of entertainments for our members this evening. In the Library, Professor Johannes Johannsson of Nungate University will be giving a lecture on the History of the Zip Fastener which I am certain will prove an enlightening experience. And in the Ballroom our favourite local band, the Tone Deafs will be playing for members who might wish to throw some shapes (I believe that how dancing is described these days)
All of our facilities are all open to members, the indoor pool has installed a wave machine and is looking forward to members having a go at a bit of surfing, equipment and swimwear is available for members. The bungee is all set for those members brave or stupid enough to attempt to jump over a moat filled with piranhas, and the hot tub is bubbling away nicely on the North Tower and his friend the mini bar has been suitably replenished! As always during the spring and summer months the grounds and gardens of the estate is open to members who might wish a stroll around the maze or a wander down to the beach. At the lakeside we have several rowing boats for members amusement, as well as a race track for motor racing. To my immense disappointment it would seem that the Minstrels have yet again managed to find their way back into the Towers and are setting up in the gallery ready to inflict their usual selection of madrigals and toccattas! One of these days I'll find out how they are getting in!
Our Hot Plate Special tonight is southern Fried Chicken with corn fritters and a selection of salads, and of course it would not be a proper meeting of MOFC without our selection of volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers. On the pudding trolley we have Chocolate fudge cake with whipped cream, we also have bowls of fresh strawberries and raspberries too!

For the rofl tonight I offer:
Bag of odd socks
Packet of Nettle tea bags (one missing .......... never again!)
Selection of cardboard boxes (various sizes)
3 pairs brightly coloured men's y fronts (brand new! have no idea where they came from, still in original packaging!)

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

may the great bird of the galaxy bestow romulan blessings upon this magnificent abode - and permit a lowly exhausted traveller to enter

my contributions toward the prize pot comprise the following:-

my spare Spock ears
a copy of my recently created cv
a voodoo effigy of my boss (with a set of needles)
my death star model
my terran-klingon dictionary
my love letter to carrie fisher (never sent)

i'll take my drink to the hot tub please
Good evening your nungateship, extremely wet weather in my neck of the woods however I had a dry flight up on Indie which Daisy has most graciously lent to me again. Flew above the clouds tonight, most spectacular watching the lightening flashes below and Indie only looped the loop twice once to avoid a head on collision with jumbo jet and the other to avoid a collision with a Tornado fighter jet the heat seeking missiles missed us by inches !.
For the roffle I have a bag of nails in various sizes ( all slightly bent ) and one toffee hammer ( which is why the nails are slightly bent ). Daisy is down in sunny ! Bournemouth visiting family, she says that she may look in later though.

Good evening to you Excel, and welcome. I shall send Igor along presently with your Tailcock, I presume you would prefer it in your monogrammed bucket (only for regular visitors) it is currently down in the silver vault but he's on his way down there right now. You should have sent the letter you know .....
Evening excel.

i should have - but i bottled it - after all, i was young

Question Author
Evening Tony, glad you got here safely, you really will have to watch your altitude while flying brooms - you have to fly out of radar range you see (Daisy will advise you!) Igor will be along presently with your bucket ....
a toffee hammer eh? no wonder the nails are bent!
a toffee hammer eh? no wonder the nails are bent!

Afraid so, nungate, raining to hard to go to the shed and get a proper hammer.

Must talk to Daisy about this altitude business.

Understandable, you don't want to get wet, sound a bit like my other half! I get the impression he thinks he'll melt if he gets wet by the rain ...... What you need to do is get down to Hobbycraft (other craft stores are available) and get yourself a small craft hammer for inserting "brads" and so forth and keep it in your "man drawer" I have one, the craft hammer it is so handy for hitting in picture hooks and so forth (like a proper hammer but smaller - and more effective than a toffee hammer)
Do they work on nails in the hand - DIY crucifixion?
Question Author
Evening DT, had a good week? Igor will be along with your bucket, interesting selection of road signs ..............
