(I did wonder if that story was printed two days early, but apparently not.)
hang oh canary, you're losing your touch, surely it's the fault of the British.
Sugar! I was hoping to see the name Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.
Now that we can travel further afield I quite fancy a trip to Felixstowe to have a close look at the big ship when it docks.
It was Tora. Don't you remember 1956? Were it not for that this would never had happened.
I was hoping the same , LB..
Oh joy! Silk and spices again!

I believe Ever Given is bound for Rotterdam.
Three cheers for the Suez Canal team! There are some clever people there!
ah yes the suez crisis, sadly TGM had left office. It wasn't actually a crisis of course, we just got a lot of negative press from the septics and others and Eden caved. In all fairness if he'd had an ounce of bottle and stood firm it would have worked out fine. Eden was a wet, what proper Tories hate more than anything.
yeah they were talking about naviphobes
but that is a mixed derivation ( like television)
and should be ploio-phobe - as eny fule kno

I thought tri-reema phobe might not hold er water
I must confess; I haven't been lying awake at night worrying about this.
Is that Martin Luther King speaking ?
god almost every statement above is wrong

TGM left office gaga
it was a crisis - america started selling sterling ( I have come to help Allen Foster Dulles)
we got more than negative press from the US
Eden didnt cave: he lied - - to parliament
Eden was the properly anointed successor to the great man

other than that I dont think there is much awry with TTTs post
NJ it was due to dock in Rotterdam on 3rd April then sail on to Felixstowe landing on 6th April but not sure when it will arrive now.
I believe it’s due in Birmingham via the Grand Union canal by October :-)
I had an arrival date in Felixstowe - news a few days ago

will the back log be cleared in a week or a year ?
Dunno - just nipping out for some toilet rolls!
// I believe it’s due in Birmingham via the Grand Union canal by October//
not sure
the grand union is so polluted that even an atheist could walk on it!
ter daah !
Peter - are you suggesting it might run aground on the discarded prams and shopping trolleys and block the canal?
