The English burned it down in 1812. The President would have had to beat a hasty retreat then. Madison I think.
It happens every 4 or 8 years :-)
Depends what you mean by eviction.

Manhandled from the White House.
Yes, Donald Trump in 2021.
Well, Trump is now resorting to attempting to get states to simply declare him the winner.
Although he announced a short while ago that there was (new) evidence of fraud in Georgia.
The whole thing is surreal.

In that case the answer is no.

yeah in olden days when you took a city - you burnt it down - Moscow 1812, and 1944 Parijs brandt?
and warsaw
and the confederate cities the unionist took 1865

everyone has previously left or been taken out in a coffin

conceding is about 150 y old and is not official. One recent one conceded and then unconceded the day after but still lost ( Gore I think)

has never been tried before either
Meanwhile Mr Pompeo starts his 2024 campaign with a tour of the occupied territories :-)
Its one of the things Americans are proud of is their history of the peaceful transfer of power.

This is actually the most useful thing that Trump has (unintentionally) done - expose the fragility of the American democratic process. It depends on the officials doing what they're expected to do and follow the rules, but it seems they can just choose not to if they so desire and no one can do anything about it.
the college vote is outdated.
is this some sort of lefty wet dream?
It seems to me that on the contrary this episode has shown the US electoral system - the fairness at any rate of the mechanics - very well
And the officials have performed outstandingly.
The problem is the damage Trump’s baseless accusations are doing to people’s confidence in the process.
He’s been shouting about electoral fraud since before he actually won in 2016.
“is this some sort of lefty wet dream?“

I don’t know Tora. Who was in it?
Glad you’re awake now though lol
It's a bit like how the queen invites the winner of the the UK general election to form a government. That's the process, but theoretically she could decide not to, and just invite the loser instead.

This is what Trump's trying to do. Just get them to declare he won, when he didn't. The thought of the queen doing that is ridiculous, but when you look at some of the American officials with their party political affiliations, you think oh my god, this is actually a possibility, albeit slim.
// is this some sort of lefty wet dream? //

Yes. Suck it up loser :-)
If that happened there would be mayhem.
But it won’t
"The whole thing is surreal."

Regrettably, it's not! It's all too real...
