There is a precedent with the Chris Heune case. Depends on how cooperative the MP is. If she pleads guilty right away, she may get a fine or suspended sentence.

He has NOT committed perjury which is lying under oath before a Judge. He has simply lied to the police, something which is very common by people trying to pervert the course of justice, which is perhaps what he should be charged with, if anything.

She's already pled not guilty, gromit. And she's a solicitor, so knows rocking up to the Old Bailey and changing her mind isn't going to go down well. It will be fascinating to hear her defence next week.
Her brother has already pled guilty to 3 counts of perverting the course of justice. To be sentenced after her trial.

He initially used her name for one of his tickets, later she and he had a break up, she grassed him up, not realising that she was also complicit in "perverting the course of justice" so effectively grassed herself up too. Both got 8 months in the slammer! Classic! ..and these people think they can run he country?? PMSL!
