Does anyone have a special meal on a Sunday? Or do you just have what you would normally eat the rest of the week?

We have no rules. We're a bunch of rebels :-)

It really depends on who will be here and how hungover they are.

Having shoulder of lamb for todays dinner.
Yes.
Sunday breakfast is ALWAYS fried eggs, bacon, tomatoes in olive oil, toast, marmalade ( thick cut)and coffee.
Swan on Sunday, thought everybody did it.

No it really depends on what we fancy so today he fancy steak and chips cold baked beans and Mayo
Depends on what body parts I still have left in the freezer on a weekend ;-)

we usually just have a cob
Haven't done a roast dinner for years, on a Sunday.
We just have what we got left in my small freezer, which is usually fish n chips with peas or tin tomatoes.
Do you consider that your cygneture dish, aelmpvw?
We always have a bit of a special meal on Saturday evening, Sunday meals have the least effort...none.. put into them as neither of us cooks on a Sunday.
I think that's a mute issue, Douglas
The Pen is mightier than the Gourd, Aelmpvw.
We'll usually have a roast every 2 or 3 weeks and always on a Sunday evening.
I don't usually cook the Sunday lunch in our house, MrsJ is way way better than me, but sometimes I like to have a go and today happens to be one of those times. I'm cooking a fillet of pork with a breadcrumb-parmesan -mixed herbs rub and a mediterranean tray bake of courgette-baby sweetcorn-tomatoes-onion-red and green peepers and large crouton style potatoes. After a filling breakfast and a long (fairly) walk we will eat around 4pm.
I used to make roast potatoes in my chip pan, turned out really well, kids loved them.
Not usually. But if I am going to make a roast it HAS to be on a Sunday, just doesn't feel right any other day. Except for Christmas DInner ofcourse.
We always have a roast and all the trimmings on Sundays, it was ever thus and will be continued.
We have had Sunday's where I've cooked a simple meal.
Today we are having lamb shank in a mint jus, roast potatoes, sprouts, broccoli & sweet corn. Washed down with a sparkling prosecco. Later we will be having hot mince pies & ice cream.
Leg of lamb plus all usual accompniaments.

Reduced at Morrisons from £12.53 to 60p. Bargain.
