If they haven't, they should have, judging by others who have received them.
I wonder if Grayson Perry will turn up at the Palace as his alter ego Claire?

depends, will she be Dame Claire?

Despite the Mail's acclamation of them as "heroes" for carrying a coffin, I haven't seen any mention of pallbearing peerages.
There's a piece on the honours in today's Times. It includes this - 'It was too late in the year to include those who helped arrange the Queen's funeral...' and goes on mention recognition for the orchestration of the Platinum Jubilee.
They were only carrying a coffin !
It can take between one and two years to go through the full process after nomination for an honour.
Pallbears is Job like any other! So why do they deserve an award?
This was no ordinary funeral job....walking long distances, up lots of steps, several times in the day, coffin weighed down with extra weights. They deserve an award but not sure what
They were doing what any soldier would do - obeying orders. Their reward? Bragging rights among their colleagues and seeing the looks of pride om their family's faces.
At ease!
And they got paid .
I would expect a special medal to be minted for people who were involved with the funeral, rather than give them an honour.
The usual list of civil servants and academics. A very large number of recipients working or campaigning within the Equality and diversity field, LGBTQ+, and assorted disabilities, and a fair few from the multifaith community. I really don't understand though how awards can go to someone simply for doing a high level job which carries its own rewards terms of remuneration, and status. All for the volunteers in communities being recognised.. But Services to Banking, Services to Commerce.
Services to making loads of money ?
anneasquith
And they got paid .

There will almost certainly be a special medal issued for the service personnel involved. A few of those involved in the organisation of the funeral and rites of accession will possibly get upgrades to honours they almost certainly already hold.
They did what they had to do given the circumstances in front of millions, possibly even billions, and they probably got high millitary medals for doing brilliant job. I don't think they have done any other services other than the military services they were recruited for.
Surely being chosen as pall bearers was an honour?
shoulder height from the ground is more a deciding factor than much else.
'It was too late in the year to include those who helped arrange the Queen's funeral..

yeah Arena too - they got handshakes and poss a cup of tea at the palace.
I asked one ( relative) disappointee, 'you dont really mind do you?' and he said no we wd all have done it anyway BUT {you see such time servers and hangers-on getting stuff)
