Am I an old fuddy duddy or did anyone else think how pathetic to see 2 grown men giving 'high fives' every time the American answered a question? Is there no decorum anymore?
Completely agree....that American (however clever) needs to grow up.
BTW....Jeremy P. deducted 5 points on two occasions for a wrong answer, even though he had obviously finished asking the questions!
I mentioned the irritating American when he was last on. The guy with the handlebar moustache looks a tad embarrassed each time he is coerced into high-fiving.
I so agree. It spoilt the whole thing for me last night, I was willing the other team to catch up and win so that we can be spared that team appearing again.
I also wanted Manchester to win, but only because the young lass was from Burnley. And she is the only other person i've heard of with the surname of Lynott, apart from Thin Lizzy's Phil.
It seems to be the way they behave in the former colonies. Unfortunately many people on these islands think it's entertaining, hence the dumbing-down of many of our TV shows. (A question of sport and Top Gear were mentioned the other day on here.)
Mais non, ouibonjour, you are definitely not an old fuddy duddy. I cringed every time they did it, and, although he's undoubtedly a good quizzer, I hope they don't win the final. There's hope: they've already lost once.
Anyway, the producer should tell them to stop doing it.
