I'll always recommend cutting carbs. Have meals made up of meat (steak, mince, chops...beef, lamb, pork), poultry (chicken thighs, duck legs, turkey mince), fish (salmon, sardines, cod, haddock, tuna, prawns)...green leafy veg (spinach, cabbage, broccoli, cauli, salad leaves, peppers, basically all above ground veggies. Root veg and very sweet fruits are like eating sugar. That's what they convert to in your body...as do pasta, rice, cakes, bread, etc. Eat berries instead.
Eggs are your friends...have them any way you like them. A three egg cheese omelette can be very filling. Dont eat fat free...the body and brain need some! Have butter with your veg, cook with olive oil, eat the fat on your meat. Don't eat smaller portions. Instead eat until you are satisfied. Dont go hungry! It doesnt work. Keep active...even if it's just a bit of extra walking.
