..... and you are in bad need a history lesson. I don't know your background, but unless you came from a small, highly privileged minority, without democracy you would probably be illiterate, labouring very long hours for very little remuneration and the women in your family would not only be unable to vote, but would probably be dead from exhaustion by the time they were 50.
