Colin Firth becomes an Italian citizen after being left 'horrified' by Brexit. How many more lives are going to be ruined before this stupid leave decision is overturned?

Kvalidir; I worked in the film industry even before the EC, never mind the EU, and we moved around Europe without any bother, we started a film in Pinewood studios, London, and moved the whole damn thing, sets (some), actors, technicians, everything, to Rome without any issues.
I personally travelled all over Europe simply on a British passport.. People who do not know the former times seem to think they are going to be stranded in the British Isles.
I think Ben Dover still operates in the UK if your short of work.

"I personally travelled all over Europe simply on a British passport."

So did I. Thing is, there's no guarantee that, when we're finally out, things will just simply revert to how they were in the early 70s, or early 90s.

Nobody knows, least of the people we have entrusted with knowing.
Dave, are you implying that some EU countries will ban people travelling on a British passport?
Well most other countries outside the EU manage it or are you saying the EU will stop all British citizens entering europe?

Because that would be scaremongering worthy of Project Fear Vol 3.
Of course not, but they may require us to have a Visa or some system similar to the US. Why shouldn't they?
Because if they did then we would follow suit.
I too am applying for citizenship in an EU country as a contingency. Both my spouse and I have reached the decision that the future for our respective sectors are not likely to be good in the UK, so we are making plans to leave.
Who cares what nationality Colin Firth has?

There are films being made all over the world. Places like Romania and the Baltics are way cheaper to produce even with actors travel costs taken into consideration.

Actors will still have a passport and still be able to travel. Perhaps like a lot of moaners they realise there will just have to be a bit more effort into production.
nothing to worry about, his wife is Italian and hes applied for dual nationality and his wife has applied for dual nationality as well.

Nothing to do with Brexit

All be happy little Luvvies together then, nice.
Kromo; The mind boggles at wondering what both your lines are that are to be so detrimentally changed enough for you to want to change your citizenship.
OMG, the luvvies are leaving / going to leave.
Where doomed I tell ya, the whole British economy will collapse.
wer'e ^^^^^
Europeans didn't try to stop us 'entering' in 1914 and 1944. (cept for the Hun, of course)
Dave; //,,,they may require us to have a Visa or some system similar to the US. Why shouldn't they?//

Because there are 3.6 million EU citizens living in the UK and only 1.2 million UK citizens living in the EU.
Well forgive us all if we don't have your faith in everything reverting to the way it was in 1965 Khandro, because I'm pretty sure it won't- then again I'm also pretty sure Brexit will never happen, so it's all likely to be a moot point. Happy days eh?
I'd be more inclined to considering leaving if Brexit doesn't happen as it would mean the democracy I'd come to love and respect would be no more, and without democracy our country would have lost what once made us great.
We're ^^^^ :P
