Welcome to Mad Over Fifties Club, in light of the wonderful weather we have here at Nungate Towers, we're holding tonights meeting down on the beach.
The Tailcock tonight is the "Sandy Shore" (no strings attached!) just the thing to sip when barefoot!
We have set up the barbecue, and Luigi's Ice Cream van will be along later.
DJ Bert Fanackapan is just setting up down by the mooring for Polar Bear's 'Berg keeping things nice and cool.
Tonight's festivities will be whatever members decide they should be, all the facilities are available for members use, from the indoor pool in the dungeon to the bungee on the topmost Tower (beware of the piranhas in the moat when jumping)
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Sorry to hear that nun, anything to do with aged parents makes one go through hoops. It seems that it always somebody else's department that is supposed to help.
Nungate a quick look in to say hello and I sympathise with you, same thing here. Love to Queenie and Igor xx

It's a total pain Daisy!
Tony, he didn't blast through the ford he stopped and used the water to clean his car! Water hereabouts pretty darn clean until you get downstream of the "car wash"
Hiya Psybbo.

Why did he wash his car in the ford, nungate. Was he on a water meter at home ?.

Evening Sibs, I'll pass that along! She's out with her beau and her car (he's very good to her, he got her the car!) She had her test soon I hope she passes this time, she is very keen and practises whenever she can get someone to take her out driving - her instructor is on holiday at present
Question Author
Think it was just was easier to do that than set up the hose etc. very few water meters around up here. I can't even get best beloved to wash ours!
Take care of it rather well just doesn't wash it! I did ask the guy at the garage where we bought it if he had anything in "dirt" colour! Got a black one! worst for showing the dirt, more so than our old white one!
Compulsory water meters here. Get billed every six months. Not very satisfactory. Water butt now less than half full, hope we have rain soon.
Yes your right about Black cars, nungate. They seem to show any dirt up !.
Question Author
Don't like the sound of compulsory water meters. I thought you could choose whether or not to have one installed or not.

It wouldn't matter what colour our car was he'd still not wash it! Which is surprising as he is so particular about everything else! It's only when I get my clothes dirty putting something in the boot and I throw a tanty that he eventually washes it (and with bad grace!)
I think that in my neck of the woods any houses built since the mid nineties had to have water meters, but if you don't have a water meter the water company will fit you one if you wish, don't think I'd ever have one though.
Question Author
me either!
nungate, tell him to take it down to the ford !.
Question Author
won't even go to the car wash! I have offered to pay! SOmetimes I have washed it with Queenie's help, other times I've started and he's had to finish! I get tired so easily these days...........................

LOL, crafty mare !.
When your waiter is free may I have a B&C please. A bit early really but what the heck it is Saturday.
Question Author
maybe in the first instance but not lately, I get tired so quickly these days.
It did spur him on though to get the car nice and clean - he's always been like that. He is really particular about everything else, my mum used to say he looks like he's stepped out of a box he was so dapper, (not so much now) but to be so fussy about everything else and not his car?
Just looked in again and lovely to see you Jeza, I hope you both have a good night xx
Hello to Tony and Anne
Question Author
Would you like ice with the B&C Madame Jeza?
Question Author
Igor seems to be crossing over again.
He was asking whether you'd like ice with your beverage Jeza, I think it's time he retired his computer.

Sibs, Queenie says to say Hello, they just got back home a few minutes ago
No choice here. Has made things difficult between neighbours watering gardens. I have upstairs flat. Water tap in my garden fed from downstairs flat's water system. Hose in my garden. Downstairs neighbours have to come into my garden (connecting gate) to connect hose, take it into their gardens (one front, through my other garden gate to my drive, one back through my connecting gate). Before metering, downstairs were happy for me to use the hose (in my garden, connected to tap, in my garden) now if water butt runs dry I connect another hose to my bathroom tap (via back stairs, through kitchen, praying that when I turn the bath tap on I do not flood bathroom, kitchen and stairs. Usually end up very wet as hose jumps out of butt before I can get down the stairs.
