Good evening and welcome to all those who have sailed or waded through flood waters, trudged through snow, and been buffeted by stormy winds to join us at Nungate Towers this Saturday. For those few, that happy few unaffected by the weather in their journey here tonight, you too are most welcome.
As we are still in Olympic mode, tonight's Tailcock will be the "Gold Medal" (as worn by that intrepid slider Lizzie Yarnold - very well done!!)
On the hot plate tonight we have, Potage Bonne Femme, ( despite good women being hard to find these days, we managed!) There is also a Minced beef hotpot on the hot plate, just the thing for the cold and wet weather, hot and hearty being the order of the day) Of course there will also be the customary, volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers. On the pudding trolley there is a delicious steamed jam sponge, with custard or cream (Oh dear, I seem to have gained another couple of pounds!)
Our entertainment tonight comes in the shape of our favourite band the Tone Deafs and tonight they will be playing a selection of golden oldies (feel free to request any song you like) and as always, up in the gallery in the Great Hall, the Minstrels are busily tuning up their usual repertoire of madrigals and toccattas.
Owing to the high winds (thankfully now abating) it has been decided that the bungee will remain out of action until Spring as will the hot tub, which has been relocated to the dungeons by the indoor swimming pool, naturally the mini bar has accompanied the hot tub to its new location.
Still in use however is the ski slope and the ice rink, and we have also added a toboggan run! We have provided the necessary sliding equipment
and safety gear.
For those members who may experience difficulty in returning home this evening, please be aware that the guest suites are available and ready to use. All amenities are available for members, the library has a vast collection books, magazines and periodicals, the latest edition of "Theoretical Physics for Beginners" has just arrived, as well as the Valentines issue of "Cow Punchers" weekly. The games room is fully equipped with most games, tables have also been set up for card games (please note that gambling is illegal within the confines of the Towers) Our fully equipped gym has a new personal trainer in the shape of that former all in wrestler Fearless Freddie, scourge of the Kirkcaldy Crochet Guild.
Igor will be on hand at the main entrance for the concealment of all cloaks, coats and broomsticks, (the safe return of which is never guaranteed)

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

The blankie cupboard is on your landing so get yourself a blankie. BTW Jeza as asked you a question over on TWR's Good evening thread ....

If you want sustenance COME ON DOWN!! (FCB4 Ray 0)
Good evening, all. I may be the first guest this evening and would welcome a Gold Medal.

I have been buffeted by the wind but am delighted by the buffet.

For the rofl, I offer:

One umbrella (blown inside out, one strut damaged)
One pair wellies (no longer water proof)
One tea tray (for the luge)

My coat is with Igor, I shall now repair to the minstrels' gallery to add a fugue to the toccata.

Good evening Big Mac, at least you look windswept and interesting!!

I shall send Igor to the Gallery with your refreshments, please feel free to pull up a chair by the fireside
I don't really want sustenance - all I've wanted to do the past 48 hours is eat.....diet is NOT going well! Might just go and get in the bath :)

Evening Big Mac :)
Madame, I am on my way to the gallery with a tray, please have Plant look after the door until my return

5-0 now, you're missing a good game. Messi has broken a major scoring record! (there are so many I'll find out which one for sure later)
I hope that Queenie is putting on a swimsuit.......tony would have a heart attack or is that a hart attack. Oh deer.

Evening all.
Man City on Tuesday to sort you out, nungate.......

Now the riffle piffle:

1/2 ton of shingle
4 slates
1/2 ton of sea water in 10l bottles.
1 fallen tree
1 lump of Lamorna Cove pier
1 Perranporth Pasty half eaten
1 rail track, 30 feet long
2 nails (bent)
1 windcock missing south
1 gatepost (snapped)
1 JCB bucket with 1 prong and a hole in it.
I will not be wearing a swimsuit (sorry DT and Tony) it's too cold
Oh, a tailcock please, Igor, and Salt and Lineker crisps if you have any......ta
Question Author
Wouldn't be at all surprised DT our defence leaks like a sieve. One of the biggest mistakes made by Pep Guardiola was letting Yaya Toure leave Barca!
Went driving along the coast to Dunbar today via North Berwick - lovely drive, sea just a little choppy, not much wind either lots of folks out on the golf courses. Total contrast with what's been happening in your corner of the world
Evening all, well I have managed to get here ( blown up the M6 at 80 mph on a skateboard and an umbrella sail ! ). My usual bucket if you please, Igor and a dish of that delicious sounding Mince beef hotpot.
For the rifle I have bought with me a Webley .22 air rifle complete with telescopic sights ( Barrel is bent, since I lent it to gness ! ) and one Milbro catapult circa 1967 ( elastic has perished ) and one pea shooter ( barrel is clogged up, I knew I shouldn't have used marrowfat peas ).
Hang on, did somebody mention swim suits ?.
Good evening DT sir, your tailcock.

Ah, Tony sir, I'll be right with you, your bucket is on it's way
I'm surprised you needed the skateboard lol
Evening nungate, Igor, Queenie, BigMac. There was a beautiful moon shining as I left the farm. It had actually stopped raining but had been squally earlier.
Quite feather-brained after watching the young lady on the tea tray. How did she get into that adorable costume?
Therefore my rifle prizes are:
A feather duster (not much used I must confess)
A feather boa (shades of lilac and purple, well used)
A quill pen (newly sharpened)
A peacock feather (reputedly unlucky but beautiful)
May I have A Gold Medal? (How presumptuous of me!)
Question Author
Evening Tony, sat least you got here! Saw someone out on the sea on my shopping trip this afternoon using a parachute with a sailboard - sea was a bit on the choppy side ..... Ah, here's Igor
Evening Daisy :) Evening DT and Tony

Oohhh I fancy that quill....looks lovely
Good evening Madame Daisy, I shall have your tailcock with you in just a moment.
