Greetings from Snowy Nungate Towers.
A warm welcome awaits any Mad Over Fifty who braves the elements this cold winter night. For your entertainment this evening we are finally able to have the Ice Skating Gala, postponed from last week, so it's everyone down to the frozen lake later this evening. For tonight's hot plate special we have that old favourite Potage Bonne Femme - yes we managed to find another good woman! In addition, we also have a heartwarming hot pot, and the usual offerings of volly vonts and horses doovers and on the pudding trolley is a clootie dumpling with lashings of lovely custard!
In addition to their usual samplings of madrigals and toccattas, the minstrels will be playing a selection of Alice Cooper's greatest hits, and a small chamber orchestra have secreted themselves in the garden pavilion to provide the music for the ice skating. Also on offer by the lake will be mulled wine and all manner of hot drinks. Tonight's tailcock the "Snowglobe flurry" will only be available within the Towers as it is a somewhat potent brew, and we do not wish any of our guests to be seeing pink penguins within the Towers' grounds.
For the rofl we have an interesting selection of snow shovels and gritting salt

Sleighs ordered for midnight.

Good eneing Daisy, you have had a bit of a per adventure getting here tonight, and look, not a drop split! Such skill with a broom is seldom ever seen. I think maybe you should ride home in one of the sleighs tonight though, for your comfort and safety - it must be really cold "up there" tonight.
Do come and sit by the fire, Igor a drink for our guest..........

For the rofle I have one broken snow shovel.
One pair of green wellies size 9 ( both holed and full of snow )

I don't think gness is 83, minty.......except for her required Hail Mary count, and that's probably 83 raised to the power of 83.

Hello Tony, was so hopeful of a win. What went wrong? Trying to keep up on line. Always felt claustrophobic at The Hawthorns. Suppose one is better than none. Better have another Snowglobe before I get depressed. Miss Martin.
just brewed more mead if you'd care to pertake
Oh so I don't have your attention? Might as well sample the volleys.
Yes Daisy I know what you mean about the Hawthorns, not very big is it, remember that Rainbow stand they used to have ?.
