Cressida Dick has said the Met will investigate any contravention of the rules at this gathering 12 months ago.If someone writes a letter of accusation they will see if there is any evidence to support it.Given her extremely precarious position I think this is very unlikely to uncover anything.

Chatterbank?

As it is only a comment from her at present didn’t think it was news.
Current Affairs might be a better category.

If the Met Police couldn't/wouldn't charge Margaret Ferrier (the then MP for Rutherglen) I doubt they'll find anything historical on this either.
Current Affairs or Politics then maybe - that was part of the reason for Ed's sticky thread at the top of CB.

Apologies
Leave it here. It’s natter and nonsense.
wasn't it Angela Rayner who asked for the investigation, can see this rumbling on for a while. Not sure the point but hey that's Labour for you, i wonder if they had any Christmas do's to moan about.........
Grumpy, don’t apologise, it’s hardly busy in chatterbank.
Apparently Boris was not involved.
'In a statement, the Met said: "The Metropolitan Police Service is aware of widespread reporting and has received correspondence relating to alleged breaches of the Health Protection Regulations at a Government building on two dates in November and December 2020.

"It is our policy not to routinely investigate retrospective breaches of the Covid 19 regulations, we will however consider the correspondence received."'

I wonder what their cut-off period is for a potential breach not to be investigated routinely?
Worst that will happen is some low ranking lacky might get a slap on the wrist imo.
Who pays for this party? If it is us (is there any doubt) surely we all have the right to turn up and participate.
surely we all have the right to turn up and participate.

Great idea, lj. Lets all go and crash the party.
let's not be too hasty. Think about party games, would you trust any of them not to cheat for Blind Man's Bluff ?? :-))

on the other hand, pin the tail on the donkey could be a whole new career move.........
Yeah, let's all go down to Downing Street and down a few drinks whilst listening to the Downtown Blues Band...I'll meet you down there:)
Of course you pay for it….who else? I know where I’d like to pin the tail…..:-)
on the other hand, pin the tail on the donkey could be a whole new career move.........

LOL
Oh lord! Not a Party Seven, Tony. Can you open one safely?
