Just had an email from a friend to say her usual garage had no unleaded petrol today. Are people panic buying or is this the situation all over?

: "Well eh, Hove, actually."

It's the posh part of Brighton, sanmac ;-)
I've never heard anyone say Brighton Actually.
We in Hove are attached to Brighton on the west side and have our own post code. Hove is much quieter whereas Brighton is lively with many theatres and shows and all sorts for all tastes going on.
Is this a bit like Birmingham and Sutton Coalfield ( where most of the Asto Villa players live ), ladybirder ( google it ) ;-)
Is this the shortages part deux thread ?

where wise wise ABers say ponderously - there are no shortages, it is just numbskulls panic buying ?

Shortages - I see no shortages, (*) It is just that the petrol is in a different place ( but there, so not short) - so wise that my head almost exploded like the scene in Scanners when I read it

Foo yeah! - one liner alert: going for most gormless one liner of the year
There is no shortage of lorry drivers - it is just that they are in a different place - Poland and Czechia that is!
ter daah ! ay thenk yew

(*) thx to Nelson

have a good day boys and girls
Hove is upmarket and they dont if they admit Brighton for wags listening to do gay signs and camp " oh miss-sewer!" comments

I coom from up t' Norf and that is where we call a pretty boy.......
//But of course the shortage of drivers is nothing to do with Brexit //

Correct Gully, for the fuel problem it was caused by BP via their contracted firm Hoyer Petrolog UK and their disgusting treatment of their drivers.
No queues at any garage here this morning - and a tanker was delivering to Tesco.
Please excuse the language, and worse, the spelling... I got sent this :-)

If there are then your link is good news, Maggie. No need to panic. ;o)
11:17 Sat, had someone here not said they have 104 toilet rolls stored under their bed, that would have been funny.
Our local garage has ran out again. People are actually pulling up with a boot full of jerrycans and filling them all up, and garage is letting them!!
PIXIE, that appears to have been the source for this photoshopped version.

Have I got this right? People are filling up cans from a garage that has got no petrol?

^I didn't like to say that, Jackdaw.
Ah, probably TCL.
If folk are panic-buying the fuel, is it not possible to then run out?
No jackdaw lol, it ran out later that day. It actually ran out the day before and they somehow had a fuel delivery v v late as was open again the nxt day, hence the guy with the Jerry cans, but soon ran out again. Haven’t seen it today so god knows what the situation is!
Naomi @11.17
I always buy my toilet rolls in packs of 60 from Groupon because it is cheaper that way.
One pack at a time I take it, danny?
