Your Brexit vote helped send 25,000 EU Lorry drivers and thousands of EU Nurses back home, now you must learn to live with it. or train the immigrants who are arriving daily on the shores of the UK to do their jobs.
Good point about the potential farm workers.

However ...

Trouble is Brexit got rid of the legal immigrants but not the illegal ones who are coming over , and lots more on their way, and these are the ones the tax payer will have to support . The ones who you got rid of supported themselves and paid tax.
Is there a shortage of sour grapes?
Nobody got rid of anybody. Those who went home did so of their own volition, not because Brexit forced them to.

I voted leave and I’ve never felt any fear whatsoever, more a freedom of not being ruled by the bully boys of Europe

I think there's a little way to go before that comes to pass. Much of these problems are caused by the ridiculous idea that fully vaccinated people who are perfectly well are being advised to stay at home:

//The sooner everybody deletes that damn app the better.//

There's no need for them to even do that. All that have to do is to ignore it.
gulliver and canary, don't even think about organising celebratory parties. You came unstuck the first time.

Haha, Gully , you’re not a full shilling !
Fact - early last Saturday morning in my local Sainsburys the fresh fruit and veg shelves were virtually empty - Brexit or Covid or both??? Also no basic own brand loose-leaf tea in either Waitrose or Sainsburys for the past 3 weeks! Googled their websites and it's "not available" - why???
My local Asda had empty shelves and not too many checkout staff - all getting pinged and staying home to enjoy the good weather.
Long live instant noodles:-)
Brexit is a factor, but it is by no means the entire cause of the shortage.

Covid, and the need to quarantine when returning to the UK is another.
Also HMRC has recently changed the way that self employed and agency drivers are taxed (so called IR35), which has meant that many foreign drivers may have decided to ply their trade elsewhere.
Up here in Scotland we can blame the SNP voters for Brexit.29% of SNP voters voted for Brexit.Only 27% of Tory voters up here voted for Brexit and only 19% of Labour voters voted for Brexit in Scotland.Just as back in 1979 the SNP enabled Thatcher, back in 2016 SNP voters enabled Brexit.
