Are you in favour??
The way I look at it, I can understand businesses & shops wanting to protect their customers, but to me the unvaccinated are taking the biggest risk.

TTT I am talking about a vaccine passport....a thing or a process, NOT about an individual country's decision on whether or how they will allow visitors.....did you not read the thread properly?
Pixie
SB seems to be under the impression that you either get side-effects from the vaccine- or you die from covid.

Lol not in the slightest but I am pointing out to you that nobody has died from having the vaccine but 120,000 in uk have died directly or otherwise from covid but thanks for putting words in my mouth lol

pixie
A vaccine is safer no doubt, than covid.
Giving a vaccine to a healthy person, isn't.

Is that meant to be serious???
You're welcome lol. You only seemed to compare the vaccine to getting covid. That's why.
If you are acknowledging that most people won't actually get it, with or without a vaccine... we probably agree.
Obviously. Unless you are assuming all unvaccinated people go on to die from covid... in the majority of cases, we are unnecessarily giving people an extra risk.
//If you are acknowledging that most people won't actually get it, with or without a vaccine... we probably agree.//

Thats true but irrelavant.

However you look at it, many of the 120000 dead from Covid wouldnt of died in the last 12 months if theyd been vaccinnated.
//in the majority of cases, we are unnecessarily giving people an extra risk.//

unneccessarily? Unbelievable
By your logic wed never vaccinate for anything pixie.
Again, bobbin- entirely missing my point. I am certainly not against vaccination. I have had one myself, purely for work.
My point is, that giving any vaccine to a healthy person involves a risk. To suggest that is irrelevant for that person, is completely irresponsible... and people don't deserve to lose jobs over it, just because someone else believes it is "worth it". People need to make their own choices about their own healthcare.
Clearly not, bobbin. But you do have to acknowledge risks, and not just lie about it.
ok so is the medical profession irresponsable for giving vaccinnes to groups 1-9?
//Clearly not, bobbin. But you do have to acknowledge risks, and not just lie about it//
whose lying about the risk?
//unneccessarily// because if the majority of people will never get covid (which we know), then the majority actually have no need for vaccination. I know it is a catch-all to minimise the spread. But individually- most people, will actually never need it.
SOme risks are acknowledged - thats why some are not being vaccinnated eg those with some allergies or too unwell
I don't think so, bobbin. I think they should roll out the vaccination to as many people ASAP, and I hope nearly everyone has it.
I'm only disagreeing with some of the extreme arguments. If I said you have to have a BCG, and you know you are unlikely anyway, to die from tuberculosis. Should you be forced?
//But individually- most people, will actually never need it.//
Trouble is we dont know whether we'll be unlucky. Am not going to take the chance
//Clearly not, bobbin. But you do have to acknowledge risks, and not just lie about it//
Am still not sure whose lying about the risk?

anyway we agree most should get it.
Question Author
No one should be forced to have a vaccine. I am just sorry that those who refuse, are doing so because they think they will grow an extra arm or religious beliefs like 'it's the devils work'
This risks not only their health and well-being, but also the health and well-being of others. For example, they could pass covid to other children who are unable to receive vaccines due to allergies, age, or medical conditions.
Bobbin 16:21, absolutely. I do hope most people will get it.
My post about dishonesty, is where there seems to be some suggestion that a vaccine is better than dying of covid- as if those are only the two choices.
I am all for healthcare advice, but it should be unbiased, so people can decide for themselves
