He'll most likely do what all bullying types do, thrash about and blame everybody else.

He has form.
Well according to him he's won already -so he will make a huge fuss if he's proved wrong. Both sides have legal teams on standby apparently, this whole thing will end up a huge farce.
There is without doubt something wrong in the head with Trump, I'm just hoping he go's before he creates more problems.
He's already putting up a big fuss. He doesn't want to stop late voting, he wants to stop legitimate votes being counted because he knows that the 'mail in' ones not counted yet will be predominantly Democrat.

He started laying the groundwork for this ploy some months ago when he started making noises about election fraud and mail in votes, for which there's never been any evidence. He subsequently installed a crony as head of the postal service to set about hampering it's ability to provide a service for mailed in votes.

Subsequent to that he rushed through the installation of another crony to the Supreme court in anticipation of the situation we now have where he will use the sc to overturn the result.

There is nothing he won't do to try and remain in power.
I wish this was all over - the suspense is killing me!!
I remember watching the 1984 election: Reagan v Mondale. It was all over by midnight. Reagan ended up winning every state apart from Vermont.
He has been making childish threats about what will happen if he loses for months, currently he wants to suspend counting and as he's packed the Supreme Court ahead of the election that could be interesting. Apparently the Electoral College meets in December to declare the result, if there is still no officlal result by January 20th then Nancy Pelosi will become President, which should please Trump, not! I would love to see that scenario.
You wonder if he understands the concept of early votes being mailed in and counted late - or is he just too stupid to get his head round it.
He’s certainly put up a great fight I’ll give him that. It’s not been a good election at all for the Democrats.
Packing the Supreme Court with your own nominees is standard practice. All presidents do it.
When Obama had a seat to fill the Reps made a song and dance about not doing it before the elecetion yet the Reps had a seat filled almost before the body was cold.
I've heard that Trump has been out shopping for toys to make sure he has enough to throw out of his pram when he loses.
What really worries me is what malicious things he'll do in his last months of office if he does lose.
He's already putting up a huge fuss and he hasn't even lost yet.

He's clearly one of the world's sorest losers -- allowing and encouraging crowds to chant "lock her/him up!" for his political opponents, calling fraud, touting conspiracy theories, etc, are not the mark of a man humble in defeat. But what bothers me is that he really needn't be like this. It's likely to be a defeat, but a defeat far less spectacular than many had expected/hoped for. And it's a defeat that sets the tone for four years of stalemate and arguing and continued infighting, in which very little will be done. It seems that the Lower House is going to the Democrats, but by less than previously; the Republicans will retain control of the Senate; and they've already secured the Supreme Court and many other judicial offices.

If Trump wants to run again in 2024, and he probably will, I'd almost be tempted to call him favourite.
Trump is a bad-tempered, ill(no)-mannered bully. I will never understand how people do not see through his despicable behaviour.
Guaranteed to be histrionics whichever way it goes.
I think most people can see what he is like as a person, but he has also achieved things that Republicans like. Getting three Supreme Court judges isn't really a Trump thing, so much as a Republican thing, but it's gone on Trump's achievement list all the same.

You'd be surprised, or saddened, how much of US Politics can be related to abortion rights, and Trump has been vocally "pro-life", and sadly that matters more than everything else about him.
// to stop any late voting.//
nope counting
late vote counting

you dont count postal votes until the day so that the news doesnt leak out that X is ahead and influence the way the future voters to be will cast their vote

but I notice that some governors have ordered that the postal votes are counted first and so WILL be counted on the day and those cast on the day at polling stations will be counted a day or so later

only in America

DId any one hear Farage getting slapped around by Andrew Neil? - corrupt voting in Birmingham
and Neil said Brum Midlands UK innit
and the Nige had to agree

we have electoral courts and none of this supreme court crap - last sat 1867 - actually sat in the Brum case and found 26% had been fraudulently cast.
George Bush got in by 46 000
that was the one where the supreme ct said enough was enough

that was the hanging chad election - a punched hole in a piece of paper the bit cut out is called a chad

and altho I thought the supreme court had called a halt under the excellent principle of

suprema lex:interest rei publicae finis ad litem

they didnt ( non ) - it was because the votes were being counted in different ways in the counties of Floridee

so God knows this time

Absolutely true. As for his constant obsession with fraud it takes a fraudster .......... it takes one to know one!

Joe Biden will be 78 yrs old in a few weeks, Donald Trump is 74 yrs old, Nancy Pelosi is 80 yrs old and none of them getting any younger. Surely they are all too old to be President of the USA?
What a choice between him and Biden, surely they could come up with someone younger than Biden, he will probably fall asleep at his desk if he wins, I noticed his wife prompted him on a couple of occasions lately and we think we’ve got problems !
