Just listening to Cummings stuttering his way through a twenty minute written account of his behaviour these past several weeks. The length and over-detailing of all the events smack of subterfuge, Mary must regret her written account of some of these events Over explaining to the nth degree!

I am not aware he was there as part of a large throng though, unless you have evidence to the contrary?
//...that all non Tory voters will be in the lynch mob and the odd VBQC member like the 19 tories//

Sorry Tora but I'm nor with you on this one. My politics are (or should be )well known and I'm a Tory supporter and certainly not a member of the VBQC. But Mr Cummings has done irreparable damage to the government and its lockdown philosophy (with which I don't agree, but that's not the issue). The mantra at the time DC took his jolly jaunts was clear and unequivocal - "Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives." Couldn't be clearer. He did not have to do what he did. He had plenty of safer options open to him. He still believes he acted within the law. I don't. And nor does a senior QC who was asked for his opinion on the telly last night. It's not the most heinous crime in the book, but there are people who have missed funerals of close friends and relatives, people who have been unable to be with loved ones when they passed away, all sorts of serious inconveniences have been endured. Then along comes Dominic Cummings and says "Well, I had to travel nearly 300 miles didn't I because my wife was already ill and I feared I might be taken ill too. Best to shove the boy in the back and for all of us to head up the A1." You couldn't make it up if you tried.
//DC took his jolly jaunts//

Pathetic.

How else would you describe his trip from Durham to Barnard Castle? It wasn't to test his eyesight that's for sure because nobody in their right mind - especially someone so concerned with his child's wellbeing - would take him on a sixty mile round trip to establish if they could see OK.
For goodness sake, let it go. Move on. This obsession is not healthy.
