If that woman in the Sun is real (as opposed to fabricated by the newspaper/rag) God help us.
I wouldn't say that woman in the Sun is middle class. She's a factory worker - nevertheless she can afford to waste food to that extent.
Why provide this bit of tabloid sensationalism just a day after the real culprits were outed? It seems perverse, to me (or does she 'represent' a group that people on this site like to pour scorn on?).

I have panic bought this morning.
I queued for hours because I wanted a tomato, a carrot and an onion. They weren’t selling loose veg so I ended up with 6 tomatoes, 11 carrots and 10 onions in bags.
