barsel, I was referring mainly to the part you omitted from your answer.
\\ How do you know he hasn't committed anything illegally through his contact with Epstein and the contacts he was given through him? How do you know about all the deals he will have made with these contacts, do you think they were all legal? If you do, then you must be very naive.//

You seem very sure of illegality taking place, do you have any evidence?
//for the Queen to ask him to stand down from his duties must be because she thinks he has done wrong. //

I think she thinks he's opened his big mouth once too often and realises he's a liability to the monarchy.
I'm surprised others haven't came forward. They were friends for years...
there seems to be some question as to how long he had known Epstein, he said in the interview i think, that
it was around 1999, but a letter from Buckingham Palace shows that he knew him much earlier somewhere around 1990. If he can miss out 9 years then he can miss out on other things. Lying can get you into all sorts of bother, heavens help him if he goes to USA. They will hang him out to dry.

/// Hi Gulliver - I note that this post has remained in "News" despite there being no link to a news article. Your post which is now in Politics was apparently moved as it had no link. Clearly one rule for the right-wing and a different one for the left. ///

I am surprised that the editor hasn't popped in and took you to task over your false accusation that answerbank has one rule for the left and one for the right.
Regarding the lack of a link to my news story at that time the news had just been announced on the TV news and I wasn't able to provide a link, but canary was able to do so and I thanked her for doing so.
It's interesting that some AB'ers are keen to defend the Prince on the basis that he has 'done nothing wrong'.

In a legal sense, no charges have been levelled, but that is not to saw that his conduct has not been, and remains, deeply morally flawed, and in that sense, he has very much done something wrong.
AH pretty much what i think, morally bankrupt.
was he sleeping with these girls, we may never know
but to miss of 9 years of a friendship seems quite astonising
In New York City, the age of consent for sex is 17 years old. This applies to men and women, and applies to both heterosexual and homosexual conduct. However, as in many other states, New York has allowances for minors who are below the age of consent but are close to the same age.

Even if he did (& you don't know that) there has no wrong been done
-- answer removed --
being friends with these people, Maxwell included has made him a laughing stock, bad news for The Queen wouldn't you say.
At the spry age of 72, the very great German writer and humanist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe became infatuated with 17-year-old Ulrike von Levetzow, a fixation that inspired his poem “The Marienbad Elegy”
He chased her all over Germany & he, unlike Andrew, was far from stupid. - Stuff happens!
it's not just one girl though is it?
he is supposed to be part of the Royal Family
for which he gets paid. He should know better
in regards to his friends, and the interview
showed him up even more to be a liar and
a fool
I don't think it reflects badly on the Queen. The others seem OK.

It's getting boring already. He might be morally bankrupt but I've yet to hear what crime he's committed.

When I was 17 I was living with a 28 year old man, by choice. Not all 17 year olds are stupid.
Khandro at what point will you realise P. Andrew is the son of the Queen of England and if he did sleep with a 17yr old, it would not be acceptable to not just our RF but to other Royal Families and some and I mean some world leaders. You cannot compare what other 17yr olds did at that age, it really doesn't compare.
I should also have said, she was supposedly a sex slave or prostitute or whatever name she was at the time.
I wish people wouldn't keep going on and on about ---'how can he afford this, that and the other'. He has money in his own right through investments, property holdings, he owns several London restaurants and stocks. He was 'gifted' the property he lives in in 2003 so why keep going on about how can he afford the lifestyle that he leads.
From the Queen's point of view, the earlier suggestion that he should do an Edward VIII and go

abroad and live in seclusion out of the limelight would seem to be the solution.
Jack, possibly but that would hurt the Queen i'm sure.
they seem to take huge stock by being The Firm, the family that stays together, more or less.
andres ,,//he owns several London restaurants/// I didn't know that, what are the names of the restaurants?
