PP ( 09:40) ...I can understand your error in mistaking 1933 for 1993. !993 is when the Party was formed but its their ideas and policies that date from 1933.

Easy mistake to make.

Bullseye!
Ah the good old days. The 1930's and 40's. Those were the days when the UK fought to liberate Europe and NOT be dictated to by Europe!!
Re: the origins of this story.

I still can't understand why the Daily Mail are running so many of these so-called UKIP smear stories.

The Mail's stance on Europe, immigration, free speech, marriage equality for gay people and on so many other subjects dove-tails almost exactly with UKIP!

In fact, the UKIP manifesto reads pretty much like a Daily Mail editorial.

Okay - so the Daily Mail might not want to come out in favour of UKIP, but why it would dredge this story up is...

...oh hang on - perhaps they're being clever.

The more of these stories that come to light, the more determined UKIP supporters are in defending these people...and the more of these stories that come out, the more UKIP executives can say they are being victimised.

Perhaps this is what the DM is up to?

Tacit support via attack???
sp,
The first half of that word was correct.........

To my mind, anyone comparing UKIP to the Nazi Party is, in essence trivialising The Holocaust and the horror of concentration camps.
No one here was around in 1933 and very few have visited a concentration camp. If they had the would think twice about making such silly comparisons.
UKIP has gone from supporting Kerry Smith, to now being glad he is gone in less than 24 hours :::

As I said in an earlier post, its how a Party handles a car crash situation that is important. In this case they are all over the place and UKIP can, quite rightly be described as making a complete Horlicks of the whole affair, especially given the previous mess that was made over the choice of candidate for this constituency. Its difficult to see how much worse they could have made it !

UKIP cock-ups are like London buses....don't worry too much if you miss one, as there will be another one along in a minute.
To quote Suzanne Evans in the interview above :::

Mrs Evans said: "It's been a disaster, I can't say anything otherwise, It's not been a good week and we have to be honest and admit that."

Straight from the horses mouth.
Thankfully mikey, people like Nick Robinson can see through the scaremongering BS the likes of you are shovelling and can provide a rational view of what's actually going on:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30476383
Thanks for the info mikey. Suzanne Evans is incredibly forthright and honest, just what you'd want from a politician.
Shame Ed wasn't as such publicly over Thornberry.
I heard Robinson live on the Today Program this morning, saying exactly the same thing. All this is of UKIP's own doing. All the main parties need to do is just stand on the sidelines and watch UKIP implode all on its own, without any help from anybody else.

When are the UKIP's supporters on AB going to admit that they have thrown their hat in with a complete shambles of a political party ?
Chili...I don't need to make up BS, as long as Farage and his Keystone Cops of a Party are around ! They seem to be managing very well without any help from me.

I remember watching Suzanne Evans on the TV, with Andrew Neil, on the night of the Rochester and Strood by-election. I remember thinking then that she appeared to be a reasonably intelligent woman. I simply can't understand why she is wasting her time with this shower. Her talents should be helping a real political Party.
Forgot to add....Evans is indeed a very honest person...what a pity that her honesty is having to be stretched to the very limit by the clowns that surround her. I feel sorry for her.

There we go again the Left has spoken.

But what a load of bile they come out with, take this reference to 1933 I presume you are referring to the Nazi party?

If you are please furbish us with any evidence that UKIP is anywhere near the Nazi parties policies, have they gassed anyone? Have they incinerated anyone? Have they burnt any books? Have they any dreams of World domination? Will they be setting up Slave Labour Camps? Are they rounding up Jews or the mentally ill etc etc?

Please tell us mikey

Your party are quick to condemn some Ukip members for making remarks that are libel to cause offence but you and your party can't help but insult others on a regular basis, don't you think it offends them, especially those who have suffered under the Nazis, or only certain groups allowed to be offended?

I would be interesting to know what those who quick to accuse others come out when they have had a drink or two, or have been in a traffic jam, or have been cut-up by a speeding motorist, or do they first check to see if they happen to have a dark skin or if they happen to be gay before they gush forth their expletives and insults?
When are the UKIP's supporters on AB going to admit that they have thrown their hat in with a complete shambles of a political party ?
----------------
Those words will be ringing in your ears next May 9th.....

For a complete shambles, why did you beat a fledgling party by only 600 votes in the recent by-election?
If that's a shambles, what will happen in 5 months time when they've REALLY got their act together?
Please continue with the dismissive attitude, it's got Labour and Tories into their current mire over UKIP.
// But which side are the bigendians and which are the little endians (!) //

O very literary and I congratulate you Ichkeria ! You find time to speak Ukrainian AND read Gulliver's travels.

The big endians and little endians let me explain to others, were the two political parties in Lilliput I think and it depended on whether they opened their boiled eggs at the big end or the little end.

It was swift's satire aimed at the political parties in Queen Annes reign - whigs and tories 1700-1710 and referred to how little there was between them. Parallels in time would be Butskellism 1962-1964 - the economic policies of Hugh Gaitskill were identical to RA Butler and the aims of the political parties could then be summed up as: "dont vote for him vote for us, as we have the same policies". and we might say the economic policies of the two parties at present leave little clear water between them

According to your anti Daily Mail rant, they can't come out the winner no matter what stance they take, pro or anti.

Oh, you mean like Thornberry?
She's already in a real party, one that your illustrious leader is running scared of with his latest 'how to tackle UKIP' edict to the party faithful.
// take this reference to 1933 I presume you are referring to the Nazi party? //

the alternatives are: first publication of the Beck version of the London Underground map.

Unification of London passenger services

publication of George Orwell's Down and Out in Paris

Birth of the Kray twins, Michael Caine and Joan Bakewell

Whereas in Germany it was much more interesting: AH appointed chancellor[Jan], AH calls elections and wins ( May) . Repressive decrees after Reichstag fire, opening of Dachau - first [German] concentration camp, founding of Gestapo and Rectification of Civil Service {= throwing Jews out of civil service ]

Pick whichever one you will

That is diamond coming from a Labour supporter, how many 'cock-ups' (as you describe them) have Labour made? The only trouble is theirs ruin the country and some are irreversible even by the Tories when they have the unpleasant task of getting things back on an even keel.

Whereas Ukip's small mistakes only make fodder for the media and have no effect on us whatsoever.
