i.m.o.
All he does is snipe from the sidelines and it's got worse lately.
He loved it when UKIP were failing and people were begging him to come back and lead them.
Now they are on the rise again, with a better leader (imo) Gerard Batten, his ego can't stand it.

Farage is a VE hero and achieved the greatest political triumph of my lifetime in forcing the referendum on EU membership. The betrayal of the result is another matter. As for UKIP and its current leader Farage has gone mainstream stupid. Batten is right and Farage, like all politicians and many right thinking people such as julia Hartley-Brewer, is wrong...

Perhaps you are right, but he still is a force to be reckoned with in his own way. He still puts the best arguments about the EU and can sway crowds like few other politicians.
UKIP on the rise?

I don’t honk so.

I voted UKIP with regard to Brexit but would not do so again if they are going to slide into Tommy Robinson mode.

Nigel Farage will have a great many people follow him to a new party but it will split the vote so neither UKIP nor another opposing party will win.

As for UKIP and its current leader Farage has gone mainstream stupid. Batten is right and Farage, like all politicians and many right thinking people such as julia Hartley-Brewer, is wrong about Islam. Normal people, understandably, but totally uninformed think Islam is a religion in the same sense as we understand religion: be nice to people, don't steal, rob, murder or rape. Vicar of Dibley, cuddly imam - no difference. But Islam is not a religion in our sense, it's firstly a political movement with the agenda of all political movements - the attainment of power. And under certain circumstances it will sanction many of the things which we excoriate, sexual slavery being one of the most egregious example .

Unfortunately the Robinson connection tarnishes Batten. And therefore UKIP.

As it happens Robinson and Batten are right about Islam and Farage and just about everybody else is wrong. And there's obviously nothing which will convince most people otherwise.
I agree with VE. Dream on oh foolish idealists.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard Farage talking nonsense. I find it very difficult to believe he’s been taken in by the manufactured hype surrounding Tommy Robinson – but it appears he has. I thought he was above bandwagon-riding. How disappointing.
Farage is a complete waste of space, only in the game to feather his own nest, but then again, so are all Politicians.
I think cassa’s views would be typical of many decent people who switched to UKIP because of strong feelings about the EU (which I don’t share but understand).
But they look at the way UKIP is now going and don’t like it. The more UKIP attaches itself to the Batten world view the further it will drift from the political mainstream, even tho of course it will please some.
Where have all the A/B Farage supporters gone to ? only a few months ago he had Golden Bells on here, now they disown him.
They're on the rise ? They should be, but without a guiding hand they can't get their act even roughly together. Farage was a necessity it seems.
Gulliver, // now they disown him. //

Stop getting so excited. It confuses you. They appear to disagree with him on this specific issue.
I think Farage is right. Whilst I have nothing against TR, he carries a lot of baggage and UKIP could become tainted by association.
Jackdaw, Tommy carries baggage, but by suggesting that UKIP could become tainted by association you’re capitulating to propaganda. Why?

Never for one moment thought Naomi was a ukip supporter, Tommy Robinson for PM then..... Naomi
//Tommy Robinson for PM then....//
We would get cheep lager and football violence would be compulsory ;)

Question Author
At least Kippers can spell proper.
Lagers mingin and football violence is over rated
//Author At least Kippers can spell proper.//
Aye, law of averages means they should be able to do something proper
Gulliver, Tommy Robinson has been asked to advise on Muslim rape gangs. As far as I'm aware he isn't standing for election. Do keep up.
