Khandro if you are awake, alive, going, you have over 100 posts, and counting, if you have changed your mind on the leadership let us know who you would rather be running the country, i would be interested to know
Emmie - perhaps you could explain to me why you think Eton is a "good school"? To me a good school doesn't rely on the wealth of its pupils' parents, it doesn't inculcate a feeling of superiority in its pupils, it doesn't smack of privilege, it sees every pupil as having talents whatever their IQ etc etc. I could go on and on......
e. //a bit of a dark horse wouldn't you say//
The chief advantage of having Jesse Norman as PM would be, apart from his proven abilities, is that as I've known him since he was in short pants, if he got it wrong, I could give him a good boll ock ing :o)
"Emmie - I take it that you can't answer the question that was directly asked of you?" Diddly this is something you and a couple of others have been doing for years on here. The times you have been asked something then either leave the thread or refuse to answer. Then you have the cheek to complain about someone else.
i did answer if you care to look, diddly, and SKS went to a good school, a Grammar school i believe, he didn't get to his elevated position by going to a bog standard school
Emmie - you did not answer my question re what constitutes a good school. You mention that Keir went to a "good school". He went to a Grammar School which may or may not have been good as there are some pretty poor Grammar Schools around. However, there are also many excellent Comprehensives. So how to you define "a bog standard school"?
he got there by his own merits so good for him.
There are failing schools all over, but if it suits your agenda that Eton isn't a good school then fine.
