...fancy fish cakes, peas and chunky oven chips. Followed by a bramley apple tart courtesy of an m&s meal deal, and some strawberries, although I'm not sure about the strawberries, is it too early for nice strawbs, even foreign ones?
What I'd actually like is a Chinese takeaway, lots of different dishes including hot and sour soup, a huge chop suey roll, prawn fu young, etc.
What are you having, but what would you actually really like?

No not at all, although I have only just started cooking for him, for 12 weeks he lived out of the freezer on micro meals, because the actual act of cooking was too tiring for me.

That's fascinating Isley, and how much weight have you lost, how do you feel now?

At my last weigh in I had lost 6stone 9lbs in 13 weeks (I am now approaching 15 weeks) I only weigh in at official weigh ins.
I feel good I have more energy, my skin is clearer and I have dropped 3 dress sizes.
Today I am tired, I walked nearly 4 km yesterday and today I have been gardening and clearing up so I am very tired today.

Home made chicken and potato soup....a thick broth more like.

I use one of those Baxters condensed soups as a base and
I have used some Jersey Royals, so it should be delicious.

Trifle ( not home made ! ) for afters.

Islay you've done so well and I wouldn't even feel the least bit sad about having the op. The thing is you did it and look where you are now, that's the thing to focus on,
you're one of the few people on AB that I'd love to meet in person ;)
Everyone's meals this evening sound lovely, even the home made burgers with homemade relish and home made buns ;) Our fish cakes were horrid, never to be repeated, but we did at least have a chip butty each with lashings of tomato sauce.
