This statement will not surprise many of you, I know!

I have somehow ended up hosting a NYE dinner party, I must have been either drunk or distracted to agree to this!!!

Anyway, the party will be casual food but at the table, not a buffet and lap arrangement, but I need some table games/entertainment.

I have had in the past little cube boxes with different categories of quiz questions but I must have put them in the charity bag.

Can anyone suggest a website where I can find quiz questions that are set out by category so that I can choose something that will suit our age range and interests?

TIA

Have you got a Family Edition of Trivial Pursuits that you could raid?
Don't any of your friends have Trivial Pursuits, the questions in that are by category..........
How many and have you time to buy some fun but cheap pressies?
gness for best answer - for predicting eccles' next question on AB......

We all know the trivial pursuit questions backwards and in four different languages.

Going shopping is not an option as it is sale time and heaving, not my idea of fun!

I'll take a look at psybbo and builders suggestions.

At other suggestions for dinner table amusement that involves keeping your clothes on is welcomed........
try some charity shops for books of trivia questions and if needs be go to local book shop.

soppy pressies is a good idea. dare i suggest joke shop?
Charades and Murder in the Dark.....
Have it anyway in case you rummage up unwanted pressies and charity shop finds.

e.g.....Eight quests. Wrap 16-20 silly pressies...you can add forfeits to some if you like.
Two packs of cards.
Deal out one pack of cards and you hold the other. When you call a card the person at the table with that card takes a pressie.
You will run out of pressies and the fun starts because the guests have to steal from each other....Making one or two of the parcels very attractive can be fun if everyone wants it.

Each guest should end up with a gift or two.........whether they want it or not. ☺

Gness, whilst appreciating the basic premise; how do we initiate the theft aspect?
This is a great game, especially when people have had a few:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Articulate-Fast-Talking-Description-Game/dp/B00006L99R

If you have a printer you can just print off loads of different words on you could make your own version (unless you know someone who has it). The words are usually divided up into nouns, adjectives, places etc...

Rather than a board game to go round you could just have teams and the team who gets the most right wins.
In fact... you could just do a sheet with a number of words on per contestant - they then have to "articulate" them to the rest of their team. On each sheet you could have say 5 things (eg a noun, adjective, place, food, animal, film etc...) and they have a time limit to get through them, their score is how many their team guess correctly within that time limit.
If anyone`s got an iphone there is a daft app game called heads up which is quite fun.
Hi, Eccles....when you call a card and there are no presents in the pot you say.....Ahhhh....now you have to steal a present from a fellow guest.

This sorts out who likes who....who bears a grudge against another player and in our mixed family game every Christmas...which child has pi**ed off a parent in the last week or so.....If Tom had tidied his bedroom this year he wouldn't have lost his much wanted parcel to his Dad....☺
