There was. It was represented jointly with Plaid Cymru (sp?)

Yes I noticed that but if I was a relative of someone who'd died in the two world wars I would expect the SNP to make more effort to attend.
I think Fat Eck Salmond appeared last year but maybe he's in the huff this year as he got duffed in the Independence referendum.
SNP and Plaid leaders usually alternate at the ceremony.
Hallj There is more than one armistice being held in GB .
Following the 2001 general election neither the SNP nor Plaid were permitted to lay a wreath in their own right at the Cenotaph in London on Remembrance Sunday. A joint group was therefore formed and representations were made in order to secure the right to lay a wreath. On behalf of the joint group, the SNP and Plaid Westminster leaders now do so on alternate years. SNP Westminster Leader Angus Robertson MP will be in his Moray constituency on Sundayand will attend the Commemoration Service in Elgin. First Minister Alex Salmond will attend a service at Edinburgh's St Giles Cathedral. Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will attend a remembrance service at Glasgow City Chambers on Sunday.

There's more than one member in the SNP!
There is more than one city in Britain.
Janbee has it correct here. According to Dimbers this morning, he was represented by the PLaid Cymru chappie, a Mr Elfyn Llwyd.
I wonder if people are aware Scotland will have services today in which SNP politicians will be attending. there is a world outside London . :)
And we have had a very moving ceremony here in Wales Anne. Harry has attended a similar one in Afghanistan, and I suspect that there have been others all over the Commonwealth, and more next week.
and the irish president - was he wearing a small red poppy or a small white one or somthing else ?
Well said Anne...

London isn't the centre of the Universe. I listened to Jeremy Vine yesterday and a 'Home Counties' lady berated people for basically not getting off their bums to travel to London to acknowledge the fantastic and utterly moving display at the Tower of London.
If only it were that simple...
I'm sure the Irish, Welsh, Scots and the rest of the Commonwealth who lost loved ones would have appreciated visiting the memorial to pay their respects.
So, on that note we *all pay pay our respects in our own countries...
Cheap shot at Alec Salmond was unnecessary but predictable...not appropriate in the circumstances but hey ho !
'' any chance at a dig '' hey ho !!!!!!!!
