get his nuts chopped hes marking his terratory - however its spelled - if hes chopped he will also be easier to train and will becoma a teddy bear unless u want a guard dog where nuts are needed to give them that masculine aggression. it makes thier coat easier to maintain too.

Are we talking puppy?

If so you need to house train him by isolating him to the area where he is actually allowed to wee.  You will need to chastise the puppy when he does it and then send him to this area.  I don't want to sound un pc, and I will probably get lambasted for it, but I used to force their noses to the wee and then pick them up and put them out.  If it looks sheepish and has its tail between its legs - you have done enough.  Forgive them after about 10 minutes with lots of affection and when they start to wee in the propoer place, give them a treat and let themknow you love them really.

try get off spray. its about 5.

Definately try the spray for the house.

As for the dog, getting him 'snipped' will help a little, but if you wipe theurine with a cloth, put it in the area where you want him to pee, this may assist as well. Also, when he pees, you can train him by following and saying something like "do a wee". after he does, reward him with luv.

Soon you should be able to take him outside and say 'do a wee' and he will go. This takes time. Be patient.

Unfortunately, rubbing his nose in it doesn't really help according to the dog trainers that i've worked with (sorry Octavious, no insult intended!) as dogs have very short term memory. Instead try rewarding him with liver treats at first (when he does what you want) and then ween him off to cudddles and praise.

Try this site - I've seen steve austin in practice.... he's FABULOUS with animals!!

Hope that this really helps you out!!!

I crate-trained my pup. It worked great. Go here to see what its all about: http://www.perfectpaws.com/crt.html

Like Marvin, I have to respectfully disagree with Octavius. Dogs are creatures of habit and learn through praise and repeated behavior. I heard a story about someone rubbing his dog's nose in the yuck and sending the dog outside. The dog learned the routine. He would do his deed in the house, rub his nose in it, then run to the back door. I'm not sure if its true, but I think it is believable.

When my dog forgot where to pee and started to squat in the house, a loud "NO" would stop her instantly. I would then go to the door and she would follow.

The real trick is to take the dog outside very frequently before he decides to pee in the house. This will give him the opportunity to pee in the right place. Then you will have the opportunity to give him tons of praise. He will quickly learn that peeing outside is a good thing.

Good luck!
