            Let's see what the Bible says.
               At Psalm 37:10, 11, Daniel 2:44 the Bible says: “Just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; and you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” What a glorious prospe

During the Millenium period (1000 years) when Jesus rules on earth there will be peace. Will be wars and trouble before then

Not while there is religion.

Reigion causes scraps but it's the pop-up loonies like Hitler and Putin, who want to rule the world, that are the cause of real trouble. Get rid of one and another will pop up.

Everyone who doesn't think like you doomed for eternity, locust.   How can any sane person possibly consider that to be  a glorious prospect?  It's evil.

Maybe. Some days it's peace on, the next it's peace off.

Chamberlain promised "Peace for Our Time". That didn't work out well!

Universal peace isn't going to happen in the next 10 years so I won't live to experience it.

Dave, Locust isn't talking about real life.  He's obsessed with death.  He believes that at sometime everyone will be dead except Jehovah's Witnesses.

There has never been peace in the whole world and there never will be

Lots of rubbish in the Bible.

Ezekiel 23:20

No all the time people keep believing the crap written in the holy books the been indoctrinated into reading, there will never be world peace.

 Naomi 24.  Everyone who doesn't think like you doomed for eternity,
         locust --  Today's world is challenged by the widespread acceptance of misinformation, particularly concerning Jehovah's Witnesses. Amidst much speculation, Jehovah's Witnesses hold that they will not be the sole survivors of Armageddon's great tribulation. Their mission is to disseminate their God's teachings, with the belief that peace will prevail on Earth following the arrival of His son, who will purify the world from all evil. Scripture indicates that during the great tribulation, the 'sheep' will endure, while the 'goats' will face destruction. It is not ours to determine who will be saved. The aspiration is to inhabit a peaceful world until the end of times, according to God's timeline. "He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire." - Psalm 46:9. They shall build houses and dwell in them; they shall plant vineyards and enjoy their fruits. They will not build for others to dwell, nor plant for others to eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people." - Isaiah 65:21.22    .Psalm 92:12  Psalm 100:4  Isaiah 65:23

Locust - // Let's look at what the Bible says ...//

No, let's not, and say we did.

Wars are not started over religion, only territory.  Though often under the guise of religion, as in Israel at the moment, where the Muslims want the land occupied by the Jews.

Locust, why don't you understand that copying and pasting bible verses or passages from JW websites doesn't influence other people?  You don't come here to hold a discussion, you offer no reasoned argument - you just post whatever impresses you personally.  Unfortunately for you it doesn't impress other people.

Khandro, not for the first time you appear to be absolving religion of all blame but the war in Gaza isn't being conducted under the guise of religion.  Religion is fundamental to the conflict.

Anne Frank, the young teenager who could have been one of the really great writers of the 20th cent. had she not been dragged out of hiding in Amsterdam with her family by the SS to be cruelly exterminated in Auschwitz, is well-known for writing in her diary;

"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart."

But I'm just reading through it, & aged only 15, one month before she died, she wrote a much darker view, less quoted;

 " I don't believe the war is simply the work of politicians or capitalists. Oh, no, the common man is every bit as guilty... There's a destructive urge in people, the urge to rage, murder and kill. And until all humanity, without exception, undergoes a metamorphosis, wars will be continued to be waged, and everything that has been carefully built, cultivated and grown will be cut down and destroyed, only to start over again."

Locust- Daniel ch 2 v44 which you quoted in your initial post is actually part of Daniel's vision of the Great Image. Interpretations vary but the most plausible is that it represents four Kingdoms now past and gone: The Babylonian, Medo-Persian, Grecian and Roman.

Find a Bible believing Church as opposed to a destructive cult and you will find that salvation is only found in belief in Jesus John ch3v16., and the only way you will escape the Tribulaion period (likely to start very soon) is to be born again

There will never be total peace in the world because there are too many borders in the world that will always be disputed over.

No.  There's no peace for anybody this side of the grave.
