It looks like the Tories have given up on the idea of scrapping all EU retained law by the end of this year (or any year at all), despite the Bill having passed three readings in the House of Commons. The Bill would have given government ministers (and not parliament) the power to decide which laws were retained or scrapped.

I posted a thread on this Bill sometime back, pointing out what a disaster this would be with no one fully understanding which UK laws would be affected by the Bill.

The Bill faced major opposition in the House of Lords; maybe this was what caused the Tories to see sense – Reece Mogg won’t be a happy bunny.

It's pathetic. Should have been on it's way by now. Rishi needs to keep his promises or get out.
'We're the personification of laziness and incompetence' say morons.
More U turns from the Cons. The only thing they are capable of finishing is themselves ..Hopefully.

It's just delayed till after the LA elections in May, nothing to see here.

These are all British laws anyway. They have already been absorbed into UK law so we can refine and repeal at leisure. This is all as planned, nothing to see here.
The Tories are in deep mire with this one , they are up a one way street going the wrong way again.

remarkably astute comment - also held by the judiciary ( human rights law beloved, of TTT, is in case law and so repealing the Act wont work)

The Govt thought the repeal might be one word - Strasbourg is the supreme court of law - --goes to
Strasbourg is NOT the supreme court of law.
Proceed from there

seemed to me to be obviously NOT the answer.
