Toby...then. Poor manky boy...so sad to see him like that

And several days ago. He's still an unsociable cat, but he's safe and warm

He looks very contented Pasta.
Well done with him, Pasta. He looks very comfortable.
Waiting for a belly rub? He looks very contented

Unfortunately any attempt at touching anywhere other than his head would result in shredded skin. Maybe one day.
He's a lucky boy..
Cats are aloof and haven't forgotten they were feted in ancient Egypt. They haven't moved with the times.

Toby looks well-content
got an old leather glove to put on and giv him a tickle?
He looks so miserable in the first photo and adorable in the second.

If you treat a dog well it will love and be loyal to you for life.

Cats are not like that! They show love so differently, Toby show that he trusts you and that is an honour.

It was the miserable look that I fell in love with. He still gives me a look that says "I'm not sure about you hooman, but I'll let you feed me"

Dt...I tried a grooming glove. The little dirtbag* moves fast when he wants to.

Reminds me a little of dear departed Mitzi who lived till almost 22 years. Enjoy your time with him,Pasta.
Oh bless him - he looks so contented now. (Btw I’ve got two cats I got as kittens - sisters - they are about 15 months old now, and they will sit by your feet purring away, but try to pick them up or get a cuddle and no chance!! More chance of winning the lottery! They just will not be picked up, or sit on your lap for cuddles : (. )

They are being stand-offish adolescents now Smow. Being cats, that will probably change. Just when you've given up.
He looks so clean and fluffy now, Pasta. You've done an excellent job caring for him and giving him a loving home :o)
