My uncle has been poorly at home with what the GP thought was a UTI. He didn't respond to antibiotics and eventually developed breathing problems. The Paramedics thought it was Coronavirus and took him to Hospital MHDU. This morning he seemed to perk up slightly but during the day he has deteriorated and now he's sedated in ITU on a Ventilator.
The whole family is beside itself. It's his daughter's 40th tomorrow :-(
very sorry to hear this. Was the initial disgnosis before the virus started to spread round the world? If not, I would have thought GPs ought to at least have the possibility in the back of their minds
I know how you feel. Both my parents died at the end of March/beginning of April. My Mum spent 12 days in hospital (with end stage breast cancer) in the local hospital before she died. I was thinking how awful it would have been if I couldn`t have spend her last days with her. It doesn`t bare thinking about. I feel for people who are going through such things.
