Bit like corbyns promise to scrap tuition fees, lol.
20,000 more police.
I'm still waiting for' Peace in our Time'.
All parties promise the earth at election time and all parties when in opposition promise the same, none of them keep their promises!!
Would that be the same 20,000 they actually got rid of over the past nine years?
I just can't trust this party. Suddenly there is all this money to spend on services that have been in desperate need for a long time.....why wasn't it spent on maintaining and improving said services? Watching some of their performances eg Rees Mogg etc makes me cringe.
One advantage of leaving the EU will be to carry out the plan - originally mooted by UKIP - of introducing an Australian points system of immigration which will allow the introduction of skill-based immigrants such as the badly needed doctors & nurses from anywhere in the world.
This makes sense & is nothing to do with 'starter homes'.
Leaving the EU? When's this happening then?
After all the recent publicity about racism towards foreign staff in the NHS,I'd be very surprised if they want to come here.
"20,000 more police. " - well TBF the abacus knows where there are 10000 for 300k!

Well I have never heard of The Tory Party described as The "Scummy Lie and Bore Party". But it sounds very Apt and Fitting , so I will just have to agree with the p/o

And voters end up with half a hundredweight of topsoil liberally laced with male cattle excrement.

Quite why anybody gets in a tizz over election manifestoes puzzles me. All politicians of all parties promise voters all they've ever wanted at election time. Once you've voted once or twice and end up bitterly disappointed you learn to ignore them. There has been nothing but politics on the telly and in the papers for three years. If voters haven't made up their minds who to vote for and are swayed by a few weeks of garrulous drivel they don't deserve a vote.
agreed judge, manifestos are totally pointless. No one can stick to one because things change. All we really need is few sides of A4 stating general political intentions.
