What has this to do with Brexit?
//M&S said its “radical transformation” plan aims to tackle years of falling sales and profits, and has has now confirmed the locations of 55 of the 100 affected stores. The cull began two years ago//
Haven't read the article...has it got anything to do with Brexit though?
This like JLR is just an excuse using brexit as the cause, the high street has been suffering for years even before the referendum.
Sad news for all those workers in the seventeen stores.

Post-referendum Britain is a land of opportunity, according to James Reed, one the country’s top business recruiters.
The entrepreneur acts as Chairman and Chief Executive of the REED Group of companies, including Reed Specialist Recruitment, Reed in Partnership, which operates a number of welfare-to-work programmes, and Reed Online, which operates the country’s biggest employment agency website.
Speaking to Sky News business presenter Ian King, the jobs guru pointed out that the labour market is “in really good shape”.
“There’s a lot of negativity in the news, but the labour market’s in good shape, it’s still growing… we’ve had 88,000 new jobs since last Monday, and it’s growing on last year; that’s two per cent on the same period last year. So, I’m very positive and optimistic,” he said.
Asked if these were skilled jobs Mr Reed confirmed that yes, “the fastest growing sectors are technology, transport and logistics, and health and medicine — engineering’s good as well.”""

The only mention of Brexit is in the thread title, it does not get a mention in the link at all.
I see Weston S Mare, M&S is going. Feel very sad about that. Been going there for years.
Shopping trip for me tomorrow. I need to stock up.
M & S, along with many other High Street chains, has been going down the kharzi for years. They have singularly failed to respond to customers' changing tastes and shopping habits. Last time I ventured into one there were four members of staff (one a so-called supervisor) chatting about their holidays and their sexual adventures the previous evening. Meanwhile the queue to pay (one till open, four closed) was out of the door. I vented my spleen at the four and one of them grudgingly opened up a second till. That's why High Street shops cannot compete with online shopping.

It's very tiresome to hear every single bad news item blamed on Brexit. Very tiresome indeed. And no doubt the OP will fail to respond - as usual.
