during the last week i have gone to broadband - previous to this when i connected to the internet it went straight to google. since broadband has been installed i now have to click the internet explorer icon on the desktop. Is there a way i can get the home page to open when it connects?

As you will probably have guessed by now i dont really have much of a clue, so simple explanations if possible would be appreciated

thanks

Same as before...

Control Panel>Internet Options>General

That easy.....You'll find your ISP has defaulted it to their own I'd have thought.

I would second the question.

I have the same thing and it always becomes the first page I see and it also resets my disconnect settings. MOOOOST ANNOYING! I need to run the Broadband Prog to connect, I can't just run IE and get broadband to connect me...and the prog they run resets all this stuff. Is there a way round it? Reward offered.

Help if you said your ISP.....

I have had BTopenworld, NTL cable and now AOL DSL all open fine with IE and I don't have to connect via my BB connection...its just a case of configuration!

And thats the opposite to what condriac wants....so how's that seconded?

Try going to your choice of homepage with Internet Explorer (ignore whatever page you are initially taken to and find your way to whatever you want the homepage to be).
Once you're happily there, choose Tools from the top menu, then "Internet Options".
In there you can set the homepage by clicking the button that says "use current".

IF you have something on your system which sneakily changes this against your wishes then that's another question altogether.
