I thought the England players were trying to stamp on that sort of thing, Hoppy

Stamp on the opposition I think!
Lionesses, my eye…
How the mighty are fallen.

What you see is what you get, including the shameful 'support' and putting thuggery down to being 'so young'.

I fully expect a sudden, previously unhinted at family crisis to emerge.
what she needs is a kick up the backside from our Dutch coach.
She needs to be sacked. She let her team and her country down. Disgraceful performance.
The authorities should tread heavily on this sort of behaviour
The England girls aint as good as they think they are. Just like the mens' team really. I thought they were fortunate to win the euros last year but they got through that - somehow. Maybe the same will happen this year. I hope they do go on to win it. That'll be really cute for them. In another way, I hope they dont because we'll have all the pointless headlines and hype. Oh, and dye your hair black you girls. OK?
This woman is representing her country; her behaviour is just not good enough. Whatever her football skills she should be sent home immediately.
How many male footballers of the England team have been sent home when they received a red card??!!
Perhaps it depends what they receive it for. Deliberately stamping on an opponent has to be up there with the very worst of offences - in my opinion.
The hype around this team is getting out of hand now.

It's being used to excuse appalling behaviour on the field - the 'pressure' and the player being 'young'.

She's twenty-one, not fifteen! And being a professional footballer comes with the 'stress of the big occasion' - it's called doing your job.

This excuse for bad behaviour in sport needs to be stopped, it's condoning thuggery.
