I've Been To Church Today.

Having been disappointed in the past from unbiblical teaching from the Church Of England and a Gospel Hall, my sins have been weighing heavy on me lately, and I felt the need for Christian community.
So, today I attended a local Evangelical church.
I enjoyed it and was made very welcome.
This could be my spiritual home for the future.
Do any of you have any thoughts on Evangelical churches?

So did I when I was 20 (I became a Christian when I was 15)
A few years later I left that church as well.

It doesnt stand up to scrutiny does it?
Starving third world kids for a start.
Omnipotent AND compassionate dont go hand in hand there do they Theland?
Who trys to help these unfortunate ones?

but first, look to the world around you and ask where God is?
Forget the freewill cobblers, and ask yourself what would YOU do if you saw a man attempting to rape a woman or molest a child?
What would Jesus do?

He's never done ANYTHING while a priest molests a boy. He's never done anything while genocide is taking place.

An OMNIPOTENT and COMPASSIONATE God has done sod all.

I think that ive just arrived on some alternate plane or something!!

In other words you want to be a puppet in a cosmic puppet show where nobody gets hurt and everybody gets to go home.
