Mikey that was funny - I too have same.
Hi Goodlife I have a simple question for you. One of your GWs told me there are billions of billions of stars and planets in the universe and I believed her from what I know.
She also said God is there and everywhere, and being as I don't know I can't say she is right or wrong .
She also said ' Life ' only exists on earth and I don't know that either.
However if that's true he has nothing to do in the universe .
Therefore it's only here on earth that he has a purpose.
OK! I've got that .
But today you tell me " So hope you can see why the only just way to answer the question once and for all was to allow man to rule himself. "

Now I'm really confused if God has nothing to do in the universe and has chosen to do nothing here on earth, his existence has never had any purpose
and judging by the history of man and its prognosis he never will.

If as you claim he destroyed mankind at the time of Noah and that didn't work, what are his options for the future ?

On a separate matter you say " HIS only begotten son............'' who else was involved in this begetting ? Are you saying God is a male ? If so , on what evidence ?

Goodlife, //We care about you.//

You care about death.

Modeller, " HIS only begotten son............'' who else was involved in this begetting ? //

Mary of course. ;o)
GL you may be a good person but your attempts to convert others is poor to say the least.
Your "Bible" is in fact two novels in one: The Old (out of date history of mankind) and the New Testament (let's get "up-to-date") but was written in about 300 A.D. by Greek philosophers. All fiction.
Sure it is alleged that Jesus was his son, but he (if he existed, did not claim that - he only claimed to be the messenger).
If I am wrong, why is god so cruel, not only to his "son" but also to humanity who are cursed by pain and sorrow before we die?
Oh no GL not another quote from your black book - black, black, bible black!
Kind Regards,
SIQ.
naomi I know it was Mary but that means the father was a mere mortal.
and not a 'God' . My point is whatever a Creator ( God ) is , it can't have a gender !
By calling it 'Him' we and Jesus are in effect denigrating it to a mere biological entity. That's why I asked GL " Are you saying God is a male ?
If so , on what evidence ? "

Goodlife, you surely by now must have achieved the 144,000 souls to go to Heaven, so why do you keep trying? I read somewhere recently that
///Today the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that only 144,000 of their people are going to make it to heaven. “Does the Bible show that some people will go to heaven? Yes, the Bible does teach that a limited number go to heaven for a special reason.” (Watchtower 2/15/1984 p.4) The odds are that the visitor at your door with the Watchtower or Awake magazine isn't one of them. I haven’t met one yet in over 20 years.
The fact is, no Jehovah Witness will go to heaven, not even the 144,000 because they do not have Jesus as their mediator in the accurate Biblical sense. This will be proven later in this article. In the meantime let us learn what they teach on the 144,000 before 1931-34 and afterwards.///
GW's come round here often. I don't answer the door. Load of Twaddle.

Baldric, Goodlife has no hopes of going to heaven – that's reserved only for the select 144,000. Goodlife aspires to reside in a perfect earth inhabited only by fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Modeller, it’s reasonable to assume that the God of the Jews was male. At one time he had a wife – Asherah – but she was conveniently disposed of a long time ago. On the other hand, if you’re talking about a supernatural creator of the universe, what that might be, if it exists, is anyone’s guess.
We all do these days jennyjoan ! If he was my son, he would be dragged out of bed every morning, kicked up the backside, and told to get a bl**dy job, or there wouldn't be any tea on the table that night.

He has a far-too indulgent Mother, but I am only the Uncle, so I have a lot of tongue biting to do. Which doesn't come naturally I can assure you !
Maybe he could do with some "Uncle Input", Mikey?
The question asks if would I do this?

Would I arrange for my son to be brutally murdered? Would I "give" my son? My son's life is not mine to choose.

The very question demonstrates the depth of the sickness of those who follow Abraham's death cult. It began with Abraham agreeing to murder his son, through the genocidal massacres by the Hebrews and still today death is the central focus of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

All believers eagerly await the day when their God destroys billions of people.

Yes, it is a very sad story.
methyl //I have always believed that Jesus Christ made his own decisions. The Romans had no idea how stupid they were to capture and executed Jesus Christ. //

The whole story of Christ is a myth in the world's most popular novel. Not a single contemporary source corroborates any of the stories of Christ whatsoever.

Indeed the marked discrepancies between the gospels themselves and the ridiculous claims of what he is supposed to have done surely show it to be fiction.

First in order for someone to become a worshipper of Jehovah, he must learn what the Bible teaches.

So some belong to a non-Christian religion and do not consider the Bible to be God’s Word. Others do not believe in God at all and lack respect for the Bible.

Next it takes time for someone to build faith in God, so patience is vital.

Rome wasn’t built in a day!
naomi "Modeller, it’s reasonable to assume that the God of the Jews was male."
That's true but the 'maleness ' of God goes back long long before the state of Judah
( from which the name Jew is derived ) ,existed . In Genesis and Exodus the male words God and Lord are used. As it is throughout the bible , even the definition of the more neutral word Creator is God .
As for Jesus ( if he existed ) and should have known better, supposedly called out on the cross, Father !

Goodlife I have read the bible many times ! But just reading something doesn't make it true . May I point out less than 5% of the Worlds population
actually believe in the Christian bible. and it's even less according to you JWs.

Mighit be true, but why though, would anyone want to change his religion or belief?

May be they have there own beliefs, and say I am happy with It, which is the commonly expressed view. Many feel that even mistaken beliefs cause little harm to anyone.

Someone who believes that the earth is flat, for example, is not likely to hurt himself or anyone else. “We should just agree to differ,

Would a doctor simply agree to differ if one of his colleagues continued to believe he could go straight from handling dead bodies in a morgue to examining sick patients in a hospital ward?
Modeller, /That's true but the 'maleness ' of God goes back long long before the state of Judah //

If you agree with me I don't understand why you are questioning it then, and asking Goodlife for evidence.
goodlife //why though, would anyone want to change his religion or belief? //

Because they discovered it was wrong.

That is what an intelligent person does instead of sticking to dogma and coming up with increasingly inane ways to "explain" why the reality does not appear to match the faith.

Beso@ Did you not know genuine people have a wholesome influence on others. For example, when a harsh person is treated kindly.

He may become ashamed of his actions. His heart may move him to respond with kindness.

In the Bible we read: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing this you will heap fiery coals upon his head.”—Rom. 12:20.

So all who profess to serve God should, therefore, make it their determination to lead exemplary lives.

Then, when they try to help others to live in harmony with the Scriptures, their words will carry weight, so there hope for you yet.
why would you want fiery coals on your head?
