Description:
Hardly gave him, he was returned to sender after a few years.
An omnipotent God can surely do anything he likes. Why demand a bloody and gruesome sacrifice - of any sort?

If there is a god why do we assume it is a "he".

Just proves the whole thing is a load of codswallop.

no i wouldn't, what a flipping waste of a life.
Its a nonsense story, wake up!!
Surely Adam and Eve were God's children, so Jesus was hardly "only" - and anyway he didn't "give" him, he took him back to join him in eternity - or is Heaven a Big Lie ?

Sorry, this fiction doesn't stick together. Try the Greek Olympus version, much more reasonable.
I think that may be my first.
For story, read fairy tale.

So hope you can see why the only just way to answer the question once and for all was to allow man to rule himself.

History has answered that question.

The world in which death is commonplace, is that man can rule himself without God is worse than a sad delusion; it is a lie.

As long as man rules without God, man will live and die in pain. (John 5:28, 29)

Keep on "Copy and Pasting"goodlife if it makes you happy.
Douglas, congratulations. ;o)

Goodlife, no discussion from you as usual. What a handy medium this is for you to do your preaching and get your Brownie points. Don't you have any doors to knock on today?
Great thing about religion is that the answer to “Would you do this?” (whatever ‘this’ is) is academic. You see, God – in his infinitely omnipotent wisdom – controls and decides absolutely everything so, really, I’m just a passenger. Which means that for anything I do, whether normal or downright demented, I can simply abdicate all responsibility. It’s God’s work, not mine. And, if he sees fit, I might quote a bit of scripture to justify it. Job done, amen.
