Do you already have an illness that will prevent you from going to a polling station on the 12th? Will you be on holiday on the 12th? If the answer to both those questions is 'no', in my view you should not be using a postal vote.

I missed because of illness so I decided to register for postal for the future. Better than not voting at all.

There seems to be a small group of ABers who are making endless posts about the forthcoming General Election.....seemingly just for the sake of it and in many cases to cause the maximum amount of 'needle' to anyone in the opposing camp.

It just everso slightly utterly tedious.....

I think many years ago when I applied, you had to fulfill certain criteria to have a postal vote but now anyone can vote by post - you don't need a reason.

If you want my disability and the pain that goes with it brainiac you're welcome to it.I shouldn't have to defend myself to people with views like yours but that's the reason I have a postal vote.
