The Club is now Open.

Welcome once again. Gather close to the fire on this nippy night and enjoy good company ,delicious nibbles and no doubt a powerful tailcock or three.

Raffle prizes so far include:

A box of Zubes
A tin of vaseline
A yellow muffler.

Tonight's talk was to have been 'Knitting patterns of the 1950s' ...a rib-tickler if ever there was..but the speaker has just plain disappeared.

That's too bad, Mamya....I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're either lucky or you're not....
Question Author
Too bad for you too, Maj....your times will come, I expect...
mine were a blue hue, almost Italian Azzuri in nature.....
I have the valves on the TV warming up & shall be retiring to the lounge shortly for the football highlights...
Mine were buff, all odd.
Question Author
Is it odd for you to be in the buff, Daisy ?

Enjoy the footie, Maj.
So were the ceilings and carpets of the Angel in Cardiff, if memory serves me well....
Thank you, m'lady. I shall leave the silver (coloured) bucket for flagon-dipping & Matron has access to my coat cranny should the need arise.
Definitely in this weather. Don't know about Marx but I really need my spencer.
Skinny dipping no longer an option. Could I touble you for a roll minus the onion marmalade to keep my strength up for my flight home? I am wondering whether or not it is time to mothball my broom. But whatever other forms of transport are there?
One venison roll sans marmalade.
M'lady sorry I think I missed the rofl due to viewing of the casualties tonight ........... did anyone win my natty knitty scarf? If not, then I fear I shall need it back tonight travelling back to the Arctics wastes of the East where last night it was -14 deg so definitely a case for snuggling up on the husky sled.
Many thanks Mamya. Ann, I happen to know that there are a couple of fluffy blankets hidden away behind tonight's coat cache. Whilst Maj is otherwise engaged with the footie would you like me to borrow them for your journey to the wastelands?
Question Author
Good night all

I'm off to bed now, so see you all next week, if we're spared. :-))
Good night Miladyxxx

An out of date ski pass
Half a ball of pink baby wool
Three odd knitting needles
A birthday card (unused cos the recipient died the day before) for someone who is 103
Oh MrsO what lovely prizes am sure Milady will have her eye on those.
Night to all..........
O many thanks mamya - I will return them next week, if we don't get snowed in again in the Eastern wastelands. Many thanks for your warm hospitality tonight, it will keep me glowing on my long journey home. Can you possibly spare a left over chicken leg for the huskies please, I have brought my doggy bag.................
Faites de beaux reves milady.
