The Club is now Open. (A little late again...blame the excitement over the Trooping of the Colour)

Welcome everyone!

No doubt the usual sumptuous array of delicious drinks and nibbles will appear shortly.

Tonight's raffle prizes include:

Half a tin of Mint Balls
Two pairs of socks, one blue and red, the other red and blue.
Box of bath cubes (one missing)

I have not heard the title of tonight's talk, or indeed the name of tonight's speaker, but I am sure all will be revealed later.

Looking forward to your ouevre, Dt.

That car boot idea of yours was a nice little earner, Mamya.

Welcome, slinky....OK I'll swap the brylcreem for the garnier fructis stuff. But just this once as a special favour.
Exactly where do you wear your hats, by the way ?
Is tome rhyming slang for poem?

I meant where *on your body* do you wear your hats ? In particular the purple croched one...
In theme with the "Trooping of the Colour"

"The AB Royal Castle" - DTC Adapt. of Edwin Muir, 2003

All through that Lore summer pizzed as a newt we lay,
And daily from the Randy-Raven turret wall
LadyAlex watched the ABers a-frolicking in the DaisyNonna hay
And the Eds and Mods o’er half a mile away
seemed no censor’s threat to us at all.

For what, the Lady thought, had we to fear
With our Mamya and TTFN, load on load, (hic)
Our towering bottle-shelves, tier on tier,
And friendly Craft drawing near
On every shady Ummmm’ers road.

Count-a-Strong full of Hopkirk beer
Was on the AB Road, Dottie’s truck a brimming full
The Rowanwitch’s on guard duty, Sandyroe’s at the wagon rear
Albaqwerty running as a rabid Suzy bull
Like a Welsh Naz or Trim, the DTC sheep were surely here.

Our gates were Pixi strong, our walls were AOG thick,
So Gran’ and Jemma high as kites, no Ed or Mod could win
A Boo foothold there, no clever Mick
Could take us, and have us maverick quick.
Only a bibblebub or oldred could have got their crosswords in.

What could they offer us for RedHelen bait?
Our Alexandered was brave and we were true....
There was a little private Carnalee’s gate,
A little Sqad wicket gate.
The wizened Starbuck let them through.

Oh then our maze of JoggerJayne bathroom stone
Grew Purdie thin and Geezer-full of air.
The cause was a drunken Postdog with a groan,
The famous AB pub had been overthrown,
And all its secret Yelenots cellars laid bare.

How can this dreadful Dotty tale be told?
Tamborine will maintain until death
Madeup could do nothing, being micmak sold;
Our only friend other than Boxtops was AB gold,
And we had just fifty
Good evening milady, Mamya, Alex et al - sorry but by memory is not what is was - especially for names. I have been busy cleaning my kitchen today and had forgotten how deep the cupboards are.

For tonight's riffraff I have:
2 packets of...errr...errr, oh yes, 2 packets of cake mix - Viota for busy mothers ☺
1 packet of Tide - note the bullseye logo
1 packet of soda crystals

Mamya - a BB sounds delish, you have twisted my arm, murky buckets.
did someone shout "duck", who is shooting?
And we had just fifty Tailcocks left"
Question Author
I'm moved, DT.
Wiping the ears from my eyes now.

Not a dry seat in the house.
Evening milady. Evening friends. For the truffle I have One aspidistra needing TLC, a box of tissues (unused) and a rather sweet little ocarina (blue). I would love a Brucie tailcock. Need to keep my strength up.
Good evening everyone, nice to see you, to see you nice.

The Brucie Bonus is by far the most delicious tailcock I have ever tasted - but you are all my favourites.

I've left some a couple of bottles of Perry on the side table but just remembered you get nothing for a pear, good game, good game.

I seem to recall the speaker mentioned a talk on kilts and Royal tartans. Would it be tonight perhaps?
