Something on the radio just made me think of this.

Why is the plural of Euro, Euro and not Euros?

The plural of euro is euros, like dollars.
it is euros

I've never heard a single person pronounce the S. People just says for example, 200 Euro.
Indeed, as in "today's exchange rate is one point two five euros to the pound".
I have heard people use Euro as the plural, but I've also heard people say pound as the plural too.

As in "it costs 15 pound" instead of pounds.

It is supposed to be Euros.

hhhmm. Maybe it's just a bad habit lots of people have then.
Evian-baby - the letter 's' is a strange character. Often some people will say ''How's yous?''

Strange innit?
I agree with 2sp, I have heard folk say 'I paid ten pound for that' is just how people use language.

Grrrr, I do hate it when people put and S at the end of you. It's common and tacky.

Very unlike me :)

Well, I'm going to start correcting them all now. Because that's never annoying :)
When visiting Dublin I often hear people say 200 Euro or 50 Euro. I couldn't care less as I spend pounds.
The plural of Euro is definitely still Euro, I can't tell you why though.
Pople in this part of Scotland often pluralise "mine" to "mines", as in "Those are mines".
Strange pople indeed.

PEOPLE! Silly Duncer.
I bet Duncer uses the 's' on the end of you . . .
By the way, I mean that in the true sense. I'm in Ireland and lot of people will say ten euros, twenty euros etc. but the correct term would be 10/15 Euro.
I bet you I don't!

Yous might though.
It looks as wrong as it sounds!
