Bbc Quiz : Week 39
Good evening, all!
Week 39? That means that we're three-quarters of the way through the year! How did that happen then? I'm still trying to clear the smell of last Christmas's sprouts out of my house!
I achieved a ‘bare pass mark’ (in my opinion) on the main quiz this week, with THREE out of seven:

I followed that with a ‘middling’ THREE out of five in the junior quiz:

Your turn!

My scores this week are 4/7, 4/5
Feeling rather poorly as I had my Covid and Flu jabs (one in each arm) and am now feeling dreadful. Aching and shivery - which is always how it affects me. I am just hoping it won't wipe me out for the whole weekend!
I hope you and the kitties are looking forward to a wonderful week ahead :-)
Well done with those decent scores this week, Karamia!
I'm sorry to hear that you've had an adverse reaction to one (or both) of your jabs. I seem to have been fairly lucky on that score so far. (I had my flu jab last Saturday, with the Covid one to follow a week tomrrow. Our GPs surgery won't do the two together). I hope that you'll be fully recovered very soon.
The Troublesome Trio and I are all looking forward to a good week ahead. (I'm hoping to do some performance poetry on stage tomorrow, although the theatre hasn't email me back to confirm the details. Then there's lots of nice weather forecast for me to get out and 'play radio' outdoors, experimenting with different types of antennas).
I hope that your week goes well too!
3/7 v 2/7
3/5 v 1/5 Hopeless - that's what Shady thinks....
Excitement of the week was taking our Stop the Tower petition to the Senedd in Cardiff Bay. They were very nice, but , cynically, I do wonder which recycling bin it's in now. Decision due in December ,so watch this space.
Hope you enjoy your poetry evening ( have you been practising on Chequers, Moonbeam and Tablo? :-)
You're right, of course, Roo. We can't keep matching each other's scores; people will start to talk! 😊
Hi, Sam.
I'm much the same as ever (which "ain't too bad for an old 'un"), thanks. I hope that you're well too.
Your score is only just below mine, so that can't be too bad really, can it? 🙂
Good evening, Haras2.
Moonbeam and Chequers used to give me odd looks when I rehearsed my poetry. (Tablo is nearly always outdoors). Nowadays though, they just open one eye (with a look that says "Oh dear, he's off again!") and go straight back to sleep.
Better luck next week with your scores!
I hope that you and Shady will both have a lovely week.
