My wife told me she would leave me if I didn't stop singing "I'm a Believer".
I thought she was joking.

Then I saw her face.

You should stand up for yourself more, Hopkirk.
Put your foot down, show her who's boss.
That's what I did when I had a wife.
Have you ever told her, Its a little bit me and a little bit you?..

Are you taking the Micky?...
I think he’s just monkeying around.
Seriously now, on a tangential note I would like to share this with all OPs.

The Monkees had hits all of which were to fall into the category of 'Love Songs' except one; 'Last Train to Clarkesville'. This was considered political although denied by the songwriters.

Enlisted soldiers (average age 19 years) caught the train to the city of Clarksville, Tennessee. They would then make the short trip just a few miles over the border to Fort Campbell in Kentucky. This is where they would undergo several weeks of basic training before flying out to fight in Vietnam.

I'll leave it to you to make up your own minds?
// Are you taking the Micky?... //

I don't want to rain on your parade. See >07.36

I am so sorry. My sincerest con-Dolenzs!
