Three forgetful moments rolled into one...

Forgot the outside woodwork was being done.
Forgot I'd taken down the voiles the night before.
Failed to get dressed before I flung open the draw curtains.

Never ascertained which of us was the most embarrassed.

I managed to lose a train once.

It was definitely on Platform 1 when I put out the announcements telling customers that the line was closed due to a track defect but it wasn't there later on in the day when I put out another announcement directing customers to the reinstated rail service (which then had to revert to being a bus service again, due to the train being missing).

After a lot of going back through paperwork, I finally worked out that it was in a depot 45 miles away, as I'd mistakenly given a driver instructions to move it earlier on in the day.

Friend told me she had been a total twit the other day. Went to pick up grandchildren from school, but her remote wouldn't unlock the car. Walked home with the kids and phoned her daughter. Daughter couldn't stop laughing when she took her mum back to the car - "why didn't you just put the key in the lock and unlock it?"

Many moons ago whilst I worked for a bank - I was sent to Swinton to sort out a problem at our branch there, appointments were made with the customers, only for me to drive to Swinton, Lancashire when the Swinton branch I was meant to be at was Swinton just outside Rotherham.

After playing football and feeling hungry went back to a mates for a sandwich, he took out a large tub of margarine, shuffled about in the fridge put the tub back closed the door and slightly miffed declared "we're out of marg."

I have done the car forgetting bit. I used to drive to the station and I don't know why, one evening coming home as I left the station got a bus home.
Wasn't still hubby came home at around 7pm asking me where is the car!!

Once went to move the toaster to the other side of the kitchen. Opened the fridge door and try to put it in.
