What with the Covid inquiry about to start, with the inevitable drip-feeding of scandal after scandal of the Tory’s mishandling of the pandemic, and the state of the economy after more than a decade of Tory mismanagement – it’s hard to see why anyone would vote for this shower.

For some time the Tories have been playing the racist card on immigration – claiming that they are the only party who can solve this problem. But again, the problem is one of the Tory’s making; failing to process immigrants in a timely manner, resulting in a backlog of immigrants holed up in hotels at the tax-payers’ expense.

Hymie ... "The racist card on immigration" Even Cameron said ."I will reduce immigration by tens of thousands"...when he was PM. Then again Cameron and Johnson Attended the same school of liars
//Then again Cameron and Johnson Attended the same school of liars//

Then again it appears you both attended the same infants school and have yet to graduate any higher.
// Even Cameron said ."I will reduce immigration by tens of thousands" //

You misquote him. He promised to reduce immigration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands. At the time it was 200,000.
Their failure to deliver on the promise (immigration went up not down) was blamed on being in the EU. So the promise during the EU referendum was leaving the EU we can get control of our borders back. So we left and immigration continues to rise.
Instead of reducing to tens of thousands it has risen from 200,000 to 600,000, and now no EU to blame.
A big big fail no matter how you look at it.
Whenever a politician of any political party says that we need to bring down migration, those interviewing them ask them how they propose to achieve that – they never ask why they need to reduce net migration?

As I have said before, as a direct result of Brexit we are short of workers and foreign students studying at our universities; we don’t need to reduce net migration, we need to increase it if the UK economy is to flourish.
"Then again it appears you both attended the same infants school and have yet to graduate any higher.'

pretty sure the two court jesters never reached infant level, even kindergarten was a struggle...two sadder individuals you'll never ever come across...and against the odds both happened to end up on AB ruining it with their daily drivel, at least the rest of us get to have a good laugh as they show how pathetic they are with their obsessive rantings....
"As I have said before,"

as if anything you say carrys any weight or substance....pffft
Despite primarily being for educational purposes, UK universities are run on a business model basis – with student fees paying the costs of running the university (lecturers’ salaries, upkeep of the university facility etc). Without foreign students, virtually all UK universities would go bankrupt – due to Brexit (with the loss of a significant number of EU students), universities have to attract more students from further afield.

It also needs to be pointed out that these student migrants significantly contribute to the UK economy, not only paying the university fees, but also rent and their general living expenses, so these student migrants are to be encouraged – despite what the gammons say.
Hymie, who and what are 'the gammons'?
And there's me thinking you consider yourself intelligent and politically astute, hymie. Oh well...
Having explained to gammons why student migration is a good thing for the UK, I will briefly explain why worker migration is also a good thing for the UK.

Although there are many unemployed (in the UK), loads of employers are unable to get the workers they need - either because the unemployed to not have the requisite skills to do the job, or are unwilling to undertake the work. The government’s response to this is to tell employers to train the workers they need, as if this could be achieved in a day or so, at minimal cost. If employers could employ migrant workers, there would be no/minimal training required and they could fill job vacancies otherwise left un-filled. The migrant workers would be paying tax and contributing to the economy through the money they earned and spend, benefitting the UK. This is the reason we need more migrant workers.

Of course, many of the migrant workers would not have the correct colour skin – much to the annoyance of the racist gammons.
Meanwhile back in reality, a majority Labour Government looks unlikely.
Snark all you ant but the Tories are still favourites - despite being utterly useless.
