The hypocrisy of people really gets on my tits, but especially when it comes to flying.
Luvvie-in-Chief Emma Thompson was on the pink boat in Oxford Circus a few years ago and was whining on (of course she was), and yet she must spend half her life on a plane. Cumberbatch did the same - christ knows how many flights he took to film the last Avengers film. And then, of course, there's Mr & Mrs Markle droning on whilst taking private jets everywhere.
The message is clear - plebs shouldn't fly.
Most people with a cause are quick to ignore the cause when it applies to them.

has this woman ever said that food should not be imported? has extinction rebellion? if she hasn’t then she’s not a hypocrite… as far as i understand XR’s goal is to reduce the mass extinction of species that is happening due to pollution and to switch to renewable forms of fuel and energy… i can’t find anything where they say that food should not be imported

The morons who climbed the motorway signs were wearing hard hats (plastic derived from oil), trainers (derived from oil) and many other things. If they were truly committed, they’d wear and use nothing that was derived from oil.

I suggest you look harder. This is from XR’s website (which makes some quite hysterical reading in parts, but that’s by the way). It details their criticism of the UK’s current efforts to reduce emissions. Have a look at “Part 6 - Enough is enough… How are our governments letting us down?”

Indeed, internationally these sectors are on track to take us to dangerous levels of warming, despite short-term reductions due to the coronavirus pandemic. Secondly, the UK’s official carbon accounting figures don’t take into account emissions contained within the goods we import, caused by their manufacture overseas and their transport to the UK – so-called embedded emissions from trade. These emissions have an enormous impact on global emissions. For example, 50% of our food is imported, and 70-80% of our fruit and vegetables. Some reports even suggest that, if we include the imported ingredients in products that are processed in the UK, up to 80% of all our food relies on foreign imports. Does that indicate they suggest that food should not be imported, or have I got it wrong?
These people are utter hypocrites. They engage in all the activities they say should be reduced or ceased entirely in pursuit of their ridiculous quest. Although I would still disagree with them, I may have a little more respect if they practised what they preached. But they don’t. They don’t even have the intelligence to ensure that the ”forbidden” activities in which they participate but which they demand everybody else does not are kept hidden from view. They are best ignored and those of them who insist on making a nuisance of themselves incarcerated for a lengthy spell. This is a decent start:

Climate change refers to the changes in rainfall/snowfall patterns and the increase in extreme climate events such as droughts, floods and heatwaves.
The import of bananas emits CO2, but because bananas are mainly imported by ship, which generates 1% of the emissions per kilo that are produced by aviation, their carbon footprint is much less than more perishable foods that have to be imported by air. Bananas produce approximately 0.48 kilos of CO2 per kilo, compared with 39.2 kilos for lamb and 27 kilos for beef.
