. . . . or was it ? How can we be confident she's telling the truth now. Will this help restore Andrew to the ranks of the righteous?

No, PP, I’m not expecting an answer. Never mind. I’m still talking to him. :o)
The first time this photo saw the light of day, if it were fake wouldn't Andrew have denounced it as a fake immediately?

Well maybe, but he would only be bothered if it turned out that the lady in the photo was going to have the courage to stand up to his gilded life of privilege and protection, and actually call him out on his behaviour in court.

There are probably dozens of photos of him with girls he has slept with and doesn't remember meeting - but only one has actually created consequences from his appalling behaviour.

I am sure that if any of them produced photographs, he could call on his reliably faulty memory to avoid admitting that the ever entered his seedy orbit, but in terms of his subsequent behaviour, denying meeting someone is not really that hard to believe.

Paying twelve million pounds to someone he denies meeting however, really is hard to believe.
He is the most nasty miserable looking so and so I can think of.

Soz for ending sentence with 'of'.
What has this picture got to do with what he supposedly did?
I've seen that exact picture of her in a completely different setting and she was on her own, so one of them was photoshopped.
A photo doesn't prove anything these days as many images are now said to be photoshopped and so it's difficult to know the truth.
Also, even if that photo is a fake, it doesn't mean they didn't sleep together. It doesn't even prove he knew her.
I think there a millions of things that prove he knew her.
Like What Doug?
"I've seen that exact picture of her in a completely different setting and she was on her own, so one of them was photoshopped."

Is it unknown for photos to be taken of someone in the same setting with and without others, seconds or minutes apart?
Pounds sterling, Barsel, moolah by the barrowload from the bank of mum and bro.
Corby it wasn't in the same setting, I seem to think she may have been at an airport because there was a suitcase and she was wearing the same clothes and standing in the same pose with the same look on her face. I was going to see if I could find it but I expect it's long gone by now.
I don't think the court, had it got there, would rely entirely on one photograph that may or may not be genuine.

I think there is far stronger evidence, and Andrew's legal team knew it, hence the settlement.

Would the Queen have put her jubilee before the reputation, good name, and meaningful future of her favourite son?

I seriously doubt it.

If he was innocent, he'd have gone to court and told his accusers to bring it on.

He didn't, and that wasn't because of 'disruption' to the celebrations, that was a handy smokescreen that fooled no-one.
This is the photo I remember seeing. Look at that small section of blue between her and Andrew's bodies.
Perhaps it was the coat she was holding in the other picture.

Barsel: Having just (for the first time) really carefully studied that photograph, what is glaringly obvious to me, -as someone who has spent many hundreds of hours drawing and teaching drawing from the model- is that if Andrew's left hand was really on her left waist, his left shoulder would be visibly more forward. Instead, the white wall in the background extends downwards between them where it should be.

I conclude; it's a Photoshopped fake sans doute

It doesn't matter if it's a fake or not.

There was, and is, clearly far more damaging evidence in play, hence the settlement.

If you are innocent, you go to court and prove it, not pay twelve million pounds to stop your nemesis from nailing you.
If Andrew wanted his money back how would he set about it? I guess he entered into a 'voluntary' agreement to pay off his accuser.
If it is so glaringly obvious, why are people still questioning it?
It took me about 5 mins to find that photo of her and I'm no tech.
Why do they find it necessary to ask Maxwell about it or anyone else for that matter?
Andy, I think there could be a connection between Epstein's yacht, Andrew and Meghan Markle.
I didn't read Harry's book but I think there was some mention of Meghan being a yacht girl in it and there have been rumours she was probably on Epteins yacht and probably met Andrew back then.
I really don't pretend to know but I do wonder if that amount of money was paid out because of further scandal.
I'm pretty sure the late Queen would not want her son to go to America to stand trial and it was also said that if it did go to trial, there was a possibility that Meghan would be summoned.

Well, if Ghislaine Maxwell says it's a fake photo then I suppose it must be.

I think the appropriate phrase is pmsl.
If you are innocent, you go to court and prove it, not pay twelve million pounds to stop your nemesis from nailing you.

altho doctors fight their licensing body
lawyers ( solicitors) frequently just say, oh hell and stop trading ( as it costs too much to fight)

there is no original photo of Andrew clinging to That Girl. and yes the one in evidence was said to have been photoshopped
and yes clearly there was other evidence. And no, a case does NOT grind to a halt if a photo is shown to be altered (*)

Andie was in the same category as Scargill ( every time he opens his mouth it is worth a million votes)

(*) If a man says he is in Rome and you show he is not on that date, you dont lose the case, you just cant rely on his time in Rome - Eldon 1800
The photo is fake, so Ms Guiffre has no case, so the prince can go to court, fight, and win.

No need to deal, no need to settle, because all she has is a fake picture.

Er, it is all she has, isn't it ... ?
